i have a pentax k20d and i love it! the only thing is that the picture quality occasionally grainy...

i was thinking to buy a Nikon but now i have doubts... i think ill get this one.. im a beginner but i dont want to buy more then 1 camera so later on i dont want to feel the need to get an upgrade.

I have owned the canon 50D & 5D and the 50D with faster burst mode is good for sports and wildlife, But the Pentax 20D when the photos are shown to the client after a studio shoot are the photos that get the WOW response. Canon is Good but if you need to make a living then the photos that Pentax gives are the ones that put the bread on the table!

been sleeping meanwhile - wasn't there a word about the burst mode? Have the camera for 10 days now and love it. Always wonder about how little people are aware about what you can do with it... can you do videography with it? Me, for example, I want the authentic "Corbijn-Kodak-35mm-Look"!!! Anybody seen "Control?" Camcorders won't give you the shallow depth of field for this. Now you can do it yourself, not needing 100.000$ Panavison-35mm-equipment.

So glad that 'the romance' of owning a 'Pentax' has finally entered the professional arena...Although I have some 35mm and digital Nikon equipment, I'm trading over to / 'back to' Pentax...Pentax has always made the best equipment (in my opinion)...and with this camera utilizing the CMOS sensor...we're thrilled!...

I'm excited to see how sharp images will be now with my DA* 16-50mm and DA* 50-135mm lenses :) With the K10D they were razor sharp even at 100% viewing of the 10.2 megapixel images :)

I think they opted to go for a screen you can calibrate, instead of a high-res one that Nikon has. Who knows, it might pay off with purists.

Very professional presentation. Also the K20D looks like a very nice camera, lot's of useful additional functionality. I just which they managed to fit the 3.0' 922.000 LCD on the back.
