As a soldier myself, with a tour in Afghanistan, I don't think any civilian should make assumptions that we don't want to go. We have soldiers begging to get over there. I waited 4 years for my chance to go and I would go back in a second. Do not speak about what you have no idea. We are making a difference. Things take time, such is life. And all our allies, Americans included I am very proud to have served alongside with. There is no need to bash them either.

Actually the war in Afghanistan is legal as it was a sanctioned war by the U.N, unlike the war in Iraq which was not sanctioned and thus illegal. Though what ever the legal status of this war I do not support it, though I wholly support the troops over there and wish for them to come home to their families soon!

The Canadian troops are currently in a hot spot of the Afghanistan. Every day, more and more talibans are getting into this region and their influence is growing more and more. They are there on a "mission of peace" so they can't do war, they can't do anything and they're almost alone there.

Of course, it is sad to see the talibans leading their country but there's nothing to do for the moment. I think that we should let them do their revolution like other countries done before.
