does anybody know the name of the documentary that aired in around 2006 on i believe the yes network documenting the 1979 new york yankees. I have been searching all over for the name of it but cant remember. If anyone remembers watching it can u plzz tell me
Hey, Anybody remember when Bill Mazorouski, Pittsburgh Pirates Clobered "The Yankees in the 1960 World Series, at "Forbes Field in Pittsburgh, Pa? "The Bill Mazorouski Homerun".
Yankees lost the 1960 World Series. "Holy Cow" by Phil Rizutto, and "How About that" by
Mel Allen. Now that was a Ballantine Beer Blast. Do you agree "Yankee Fans"? RETURN TO "FORBES FIELD". Yogi Berra can tell you about that World Series at Forbes Field in Pittsburgh back in 1960. Let's talk about that World Series.
Hey anybody remember the 1956 World Series? In which Don Larsen pitched the one and only perfect game in World Series history? Or how about the 2003 ALCS? I believe Aaron Boone's name still makes Sox fans break down and cry. And lets not forget the Yanks beating the Pirates in '27 the year in which the Yanks were considered the best team of all time and are still in that argument today?? So "Holy Cow" that Mr. Mazeroski!

I love the original Van Halen along with Sammy but it is like they (I mean Eddie)going back to their first wife with the current tour. Great in theory but I don't expect it to work out or sound that good. They will make a lot of money.
I agree with johnsmdm and stevedrums. You guys must be about my age, 40, because as you said - these cards make it seem like yesterday. God! I haven't seen those cards in thirty years but I had almost every one of them. It does seem like yesterday, doesn't it? The team is great now, but THOSE were the Yankees that we grew up with.
I love all of this, but I noticed that at 2:36 Ron Blomberg looks like a dirty version of Matt LaBlanc and I am lovin Oscar Gambles extreme fro at 2:45.
What great memories. My cards are long gone but all of a sudden I remember 1977-78 like yesterday. I was 7- years old at the time and had a lot of these cards.
gosh I so many of those cards..

The 75's looked like a bowl of froot loops with all of those colors. Simply awful... '70 through '73 were good looking cards!

Too bad '71 & '72 got skipped. The '72 series was the best one ever in terms of design and look.

I always liked 1970's granite borders, some people say it's boring. The pics were large and font type was strong with no-nonsense.
I always loved that Goose 79 card! My all time favorite card.

I got a huge collection of sports cards back from 70's, 80's and early 90's. I may have an O Pee Chee Barry Bonds rookie might be worth some money.
