The only version that trumps Darlene Love's recording is the duet of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra on Dean's 1960s variety show. The movie "Step Brothers" included Brenda Lee's recording.

This album Phil made, to me, means Christmas. I grew up with this on 12" vinyl. There's something rather fabulous about it.

Hands Down, this is the BEST version. Darlene Love's voice is FULL of passion and as strange as Phil is, he's an incredible producer.

For me this is the ONLY version of the song...the combination of Darlene Love's powerful vocals and Phil Spector's 'Wall of Sound' make this a true Xmas classic..thank you for posting...
