  • I've found similar artifacts before in highland sites near potable water and hickory groves. Some of them look like preforms for celts, axes, etc., paleoman2. The others definitely appear to be pestles, hammerstones, maybe small anvil stones and other general hunting gathering tools. Some tools pictured were simply used to make other tools. (abrasion rocks, etc.) I'd hypothesize they probably originated from an early to mid Archaic base camp site and were gathered from local material.

  • The rest are hammer or grinding stones I believe. I do see the pestle, and the axes, some maybe grooved. ??

  • Your Anvil looks like the shape of a grey or white wolf. ??

  • sorry no i havent seen or found any effigy artifacts or anything with faces yet.its a good question, thanks anarchypunk42 for asking.

  • have you noticed any faces on anything you have or found?

  • Can't really tell, the one with the groove all around the center looks to be a war club

  • I have found many tools like this in Native fishing campsites by rivers and brooks, those are all primitive stone tools, the pestle is a nut pestle and the holes in those rocks were also for cracking nuts, you have broken axes and hammerstone's used for pulvering, the large V shaped rock was a hoe which could have been used by hand or hafted, but definately all stone tools.

  • First impression, I'd say you have one, maybe 2 actual artifacts in that whole lot. Would need to see them in detail and much better light.

  • Most of the stones seem normal. The Stones you call axes, might be, I'd like to see more detail in the video, The thing you called a pestil, is more likely a hide scraper.

  • thank you lenape for the information. i appreciate it.

  • The artifacts to the left look like nutting stones or pit anvals there for starting fires an u have a nice hand axe at the top middle an groved hammer stones used for mining flint or whatever stone they used

  • It is very hard to know if all the artifacs are for real just by looking at your video.

Get your stuff outdoors with natural light but on the shade and you will get a much better clip.
