@gravyboatK it's true tatiana had more difficulty.. her skill level was much higher, he was the only one who had balls and spoke the god damn truth. I'M SICK of everyone saying how bogi should of beat everyone. UHM NO? Her floor, bars, AND beam? They had some of the least difficult, her form wasn't even that great, ugh!

yeah, who was the male commentator anyway? i don't think it was a fair statement to say "let's be honest, lyssenko is a better gymnast than boginskaya." that's highly subjective.

shannon miller has the best compuslry floor, its graceful fluid, perfect everything, plus yang bo's limbs are so floppy , i feel like if i kick one it will break in half, or my foot will re-bound from no bones lol

She had more difficulty but she was not a better gymnast, no. She lacked in both consistency and polish.

Agreed. It's especially evident in the compulsory routines. Boguinskaya's routines were superb in every aspect.

They were both brilliant in their own way. Sometimes, It's good to sit back and appreciate great gymnastics as great gymnastics...who cares who is "better", they were both incredible.

I would agree although Lysenko had better skills and overall variety in her routines Bogi did have a certain something that you just can't train. Plus I could find nary a form break in any of her skills - her tumbling at this games was probably her weakest ever and yet she still was consistent and a great performer.

Yeah, that's kind of a toss up for me too. Lysenko had WAY more difficulty, but Boginskaya had the best control of all time on all of her moves, She was way more confident and had detter results because of it.

@sirgio I think Peter was refering to the skill level for Lyssenk as a better gymnast. Compare all 4 events and she is the better gymnast. Looking at consistency, however, Bogi was hands down the better gymnast. During these compulsory routines, Lyssenko prevailed in my opinion. Bogi was a little flat in her compulsory floor routine.
