I feel you my Brother...all I wanted were tires & struts...lol....they dropped my car on a tool-box & "gull-winged" my door!..then they had 2 guys jump on the door to bend it back into place!!...
I "won" my case too...$1200 & free tires, but a worthless car now...
Yep, they killed my Benz too..5 yrs & abt. $6000 in restoration [classic 84 SEC] & it only took them a few hrs. to depreciate it to squat. But it`s my own fault....an expexsive car requires a competent mech.
Sears sells underwear...buy that & go to a real shop.
well this whole thing is ur fault dude. U took it there. Sears didnt force u to take your car there. ITS people like u that give sears auto center a bad name. Maybe the other mechanic that you took it to is a retard. maybe he doenst know what the hell he is talking about cause on those cars they had a breather system and if that got plugged it would block up forcing oil through the intake manifold this would cause ur smoke. maybe the "SMART" mechanic should do some reading.
I apologize for multiple comments but apparently the comment box is limiting comments to very short. However, any time you take a large corporation to court, it won't likely stay in small claims.
Looks like white smoke, either a fuel system cleaning product, or some water-based product. Oil would produce a heavier blue smoke under most circumstances.
well, sorry to hear of your loss,, just be a little more specific due to the fact that there are tons of good techs that work at sears auto,, sorry u had to experience the service of some uneducated techs. next,, take it to another sears and u will be taken care of.
@drewsflesh It was the manager as well, She didn't want to try and solve the problem. They all seem to have the "I don't care attitude" . This problem is all across America when it comes to srevice.People seem to care about their cell phone calls than their work!!! Unless there are Mexicans provideing the service.
well, u said it, they put too much oil in and u knew that from the start. what did u do,,,u kept driving it.. what happened, u drove it too long. built up too much pressure. seems like u said u left in a hurry with no conclusion. they were getting too close, seems like u have social problems,, we call that customer service. if something was wrong, stop driving it,, that is what its gonna come down to. u kept driving.
You missed something buddie....I took to vechile back to them after the light came on indicating that the oil level was too HIGH...They drained the excess oil out.. The damage had already been done. Then I took the vechile to another mechanic and he informed me that the oil filter had never been changed. They then denied that and got too close in my space with a BIG LIE full of DENIAL....I simply bought another benz because it is their duty to right their wrong....
I dont know what mech told you they didnt change the filter cuz thiers no way any mech would know it takes a cartridge it would have been coverd in oil

Also, the filter on that specific vehicle is a cartridge filter which is immediately soaked in oil upon the first startup after an oil change.
