  • NOTHING IN LIFE IS SIMPLE PLUG AND PLAY !!!

  • that song is from dora :P

  • Can I do this with a wired modem?

  • i got a powerline adaptor but when I select 'easy' than it's searching something an there it fails

    Please can you help me

(powerline av network starter kit dhp-307av)

  • @LeanderVerheyden you should choose the other one, not easy. After having chosen the other option, you will have a choice between 'wired' and wireless. Here choose wired. After this it will all show itsself.

  • please i live in portugal and the outlets here are very different can someone tell me what he says at 0:34? he says plug the adaptor into a powerstroke, not into a what??????!!! plz someone tell me what he says it is really important. thank you

  • Great Video.

Is there a way of finding out how strong the connection is?

  • Do you HAVE to use a double adapter, because I'm considering buying a Linksys PLE300 and don't know if I need to buy one or two...

  • Motorola makes better modems then action tec just sayin..

  • can i use a belkin powerline for it?

  • dude...your awesome, it helpet me a lote

  • does it work in canada?

  • @chillpill232 no it only work for smart people

  • THIS IS BRILLIANT. the convenience of a wireless adapter and the speed of a cable. i must get this

  • Can I connect the Powerline to the modem??? Or has to be to the Router??

    Please Help...

  • @Kmayd u can connect to either. if you have a router then connect it from the router if you dont just connect it from the modem.

  • @Sahota018 what cable you need? a LAN cable

  • @TheBlabla1996 its up to you but i would rather connect it through wifi if i had a router

  • @Sahota018 we have a modem with wireless internet, but my ps3 is 50m away and 2 concrete walls i dont now what to use, maybe wifi but i think it is to weak,

and this is a little expensive

  • @TheBlabla1996 try to testing your connection if it is weak just buy a power line adapter

  • @Kmayd You connect one of the powerline adapters to your modem OR router.. the other powerline adapter connects to the device that you want to have internet.

  • this costs like $80

  • so u only have to plug the ethernet into the ps3 and the adapter then u have internet? or do u have to plug it in the router too in order to have internet. i really want online.

  • do you need an internet connection thing in order to play games on your ps3 ?

  • @TheDANioz no only if you wanna play online.

  • Powerline adaptors are only to be recommended if you live over half a mile from your nearest neighbour, maritime, government or military radio user.

They cause widespread interference to radio listeners and in most cases fail to meet the required standards.

They are, with increasing frequency, being removed from houses by enforcement agencies.

  • so can wi-fi to an extent. i havent been able to pick up a radio station in my house since i got my wireless router and i dont see enforcement agencies removing wireless routers from houses. someone told you wrong on that one.

  • Stain, you might be a very smart IT tech, but one thing you are not is an RF technician in contrast to myself.

I can tell you two things quite categorically, WiFi does not inteferere with normal analogue broadcasting.

PLT in every case creates a significant disruption to radio listeners. The scope of interference can be up to several blocks.

  • @g7txu securiy alarm systems use the exact same technology and do not generate any interference

  • No you shouldn't have to pay................

  • after you buy it do you need to pay month payments?

  • i still dont get it

  • can i just connect my modem to the ps3?

  • For anyone that dose not understand what Powerline Adaptor do they convert the electrical weiring in your house for use with ethernet data, Make sure you get ones that are rated for 200mb/s as this means they do 100mb/s incoming and outgoing and do not get the 85mb/s ones as they will only do 42.5mb/s incoming and outgoing, with all Powerline Adaptor they are much more reliable than wireless

  • if i have a router i dont need any wireless internet do i?

  • @swanton200 no

  • it would have been nice if you tested the internet connection to see if it really was working...the screen b4 that just verifies that u chose automatic configuration..

  • can you make the screen bigger

  • do u have to use a computer

  • Can I do this with any other router?

  • yep!

  • @goactiontec Can hook up an additional adapter to another playstation in the same house and have them run off the same one connected to the router?

  • Amazon carries them. I tried to include a link but does not seem to be appearing.

  • were can i get one

  • can i sigh up for playsation network, chat,

  • can i play gta 4 online if i do it what does a adapters do does it let you play games online please tell me

  • do all outlets involved have to be grounded (3 prong?) or can you use cheater plugs? i have a prob with mine...i cant get a signal...is a grounded outlet absolutely necessary? please respond!

  • please check your messages

  • if you dont hve this thing can you just get two other routers and use them?

  • No, you need to but a powerline networking kit.

  • are these available in the uk??

    how much would they cost??

  • Not that I am aware of. Sorry.

  • I can only answer questions regarding Actiontec powerline products and can tell you that I've successfully connected the PS3 using powerline myself.

  • HI i recently bought the belkin 85mbps version of the powerline system. It is working fine between my router and computer but not between my ps3 and router. on ps3 it comes up with dns error. Any fixes? (I bought a 3 pack)

  • ok kl Thanks mte really helped a lot.

  • Ok, heres the problem. i want to buy one of these things for my ps3 right?... but there is other people in my house that want to use the connection aswell...

So if i buy it would I be the only person able to use the powerline adapter and others still use the default router?

Because thats what i hope for thnks.

  • Yes, if I understand you correctly.

The router should be able to manage multiple networks, i.e. powerline vs wireless etc

  • can you do this by just connecting the first powerline adapter directly to the wall?

  • yes. It really is that easy.

  • how long of a extention for can this be hooked up to before you notice a loss in quality? i want to get internet from over the street.

  • lol planning on taking connection from your neibor

  • Yes, it does.

  • dooes this work on xbox 360 aswell ?????

  • Yeah exactly same principle.
