Its most probley because your graphics card is so old and dont have latest shaders, opengl, directx and i dunno about the rest of ya system. I would recommend u having dual core atleast and atleast 3gb ram. and i recommend u getting one of the latest nvidia cards like the 9600GT or the GTX 200 series cards. Hope this helped :)
