Just because USB is newer, it doesn't make it better for keyboards.
I would like it more if it had a ps/2 connection, cost $150 less, and included volume controls via function keys or something. My speaker volume is controlled by my OS, not an external knob.
@doritostheking It's a funky capacitive setup with a spring. It's not a rubber membrane.
Also, keyboards should have been made with the 10-key on the left in the first place. You don't use it as often as the rest of the keyboard, so it shouldn't be in the center of your body when you're using the computer.
Honestly, if they used Cherry Browns (to reduce cost), PS/2, and volume controls, this keyboard would be a dream.
@doritostheking They're Topre Capacitive switches (forgot until just now). The 10-key is the number pad on the right side of most keyboards. This is "tenkeyless", meaning they removed it. I kind of wish they went the microsoft route and made it dockable on both sides.
@PocketDrummer This are not Topre keys (they are generic rubber domes keyboard ) The feeling that you get is totally different and this can be obtained for a lot less than $300. There is one at Egay now for just $54 shipping included and I have seen them go for less than that.. Also this keyboard is not for coders I've used it for writing some code and to be honest I rather to use my Logitech K800 for that.. Am getting a kbc poker in a few days I'' give it a try for the coding typing..
USBs... good feature, but don't say it can be used for ad-ons like mouses or USB mouse pads, people who have no idea what their doing would think thats the only use for em >.>
Before you judge I suggest you type on one. I received one for Christmas and I've never felt a better keyswitch. Keep in mind I own over 8 keyboards with various switch types (ALPS, Linear Cherry, MX Brown, Traditional Buckling spring, etc.)
It's snappy, but smooth. It feels like typing with buttered popcorn. Creamy, but with some definition.
No PS/2, thus no Full N-Key rollover.

@PocketDrummer Well then she shouldn't say it's a membrane. And honestly, I have no idea what the fuck a "10-key" is.

Once you go mechanical, you'll never want to touch a membrane keyboard again :P

Dammit, how come the Lite gets the separate arrow keys?

@quijeros Probably because actual switches wouldn't fit.

they're a bit expensive for a keyboard.

This one is only $69. The professional has mechanical switches and costs $300...

As I said, WAY too expensive for a keyboard

that's actually not what you said. first you said "a bit expensive" and then you said "WAY too expensive".
surely you can see how those statements are different.
