SF2.0 is still in development, albeit slowly. Check around the official forums for more info/updates, or click the related video "Project Haven Pre-Alpha - Building Gun Prototype" for an example. Project Haven is the code name for the new version.

The leak occured in .2, not .3, and had a minimal effect on player base. Gamebreaking/server crashing glitches that were prevalent caused more people to quit, as well as the evolution of "uberforting".

This had so much potential as a mod, but the community ultimately killed it in the end.

@Nentedo63 Well, back when I played, it was SourceForts 1.9.3. The dev team promised 2.0.0 was next, and work-in-progress screenshots looked really promising. However, an incomplete beta copy of the mod was leaked, and it was awful. The community backlashed hard against everything, and the devs decided to scrap the entire 2.0.0 project as it was. SF 1.9.4 was released eventually, but the damage had already been done. I don't think anybody plays this anymore, but I may be wrong.

valve updated hl2dm, and it fucked lot of hl2dm mods ... that sucks, this was an awesome mod, even if it was dying since some years x)

someone restarted neoforts project, but i don't know if it will be finished one day ... i honestly don't think sourceforts will get back after this shit, sadly :(

hmmm, try redownloading and check that ure steam version of hl2 is working fine, u could try redownloading it. Also check that u have source sdk base installed. If you downloaded the game from someones elses account then that may be the problem. Alternately it may simply be a problem with you graphics card or a compatibility error.

Are you sure you downloaded it from a reliable source? If you hit run after you download it it should do it by itself I think. If that doesn't work, just copy the sourceforts folder and paste it in C/Programfiles/Steam/SteamApps­/sourcemods (may differ a little from that)

Fucking BEST mod EVER! And for those that doesnt know it, there are several combat and build phases. After the first build phase, the blocks will still be frosen. Hoever, if you deal a great almount of damage to a block, it will break. HOWEVER, and engeneer can repair the damaged blocks.

Theres more than one build phase, for example when the first Combat phase finishes, any blocks will still be frozen in the next Build phase, if there is one.
