It's interesting to see how our people from different regions have developed since the Vietnam war. We are all still Hmong, but I can see distinct uniqueness about each group.
As I watched this I couldn't help compare and associate Hmong French Guiana with Hmong Thai and Laos too. The warm weather and the New Year outdoors is probably what sets them apart from Hmong US.
It is nice to know we all are keeping our Hmong heritage regardless of where we live.
no, they're not poorer than laos or thailand. from what i heard the cost of export goods such as auto-mobile, farm equipments and fire arms are priced 2X to 3X higher there than it would have been in the u.s.a since those 3 items are essential for survial there, one would have to assume that it's not a poor county. it's just a simplified life style.
i have to agree with you b/c french guyana is one of the richest country in south america. who knows, since it is a fairly new country hmong people around the world can make it their own country one day.
yep we Hmoob in French Guiana we are black b'cause of the weather HmongFakiDou have right but we don't care if we are like indiagenas we love each other
Hmong in French Guiana, South America. French Guiana is an oversea territory of France. A little over 2000 hmong lives in 3 villages in this tiny territory; Cacao, Javouhey, and Iracoubo.
you live in a tropical environment then your features adapt to the climate....its like asking how come japanese r white...its because they live in a cold @ss country
