  • A homosexual couple is better fit to adopt children than a tradition christian couple. Hatred is NOT a family value. I love watching NOM crash and burn

  • This family is British. When did the National Organization for Marriage become the International Organization for Marriage? Not satisfied with trying to make gays second-class citizens in the US, you've got to try it abroad, too?

  • What does this have to do with marriage????? Nothing. Their whole "defense of marriage" campaign is a smoke screen for their fight to protect their "right" to call homosexuality evil and to teach their kids that it's evil. If it were actually about marriage or even about children then the facts fly in their face! It was shown in the Prop 8 trial that the lack of gay marriage actually harms children.

  • Check the thumbs up and thumbs down. Approx. 72% against. Shows how popular the views of NOM are...

  • @aac5010 yep. and it's the like/dislike ratio is similar on every single one of their videos, too. :)

  • That's a cute video. Specially when you edit right after, "Would you tell that child its all right to be homosexual?" Obviously the lady had more to say but NOM cut that part out and just put "My bible tells me its not right." Thank you for not telling the truth about your message.

Bottom line is children don't need parents who will suppress who they are. As far as level field goes. Welcome to how you make a small community feel every day. LGBT should not be treated like second citizens.

  • Are these guys in the UK? I think they are, at least the womas has a british accent. In that case, NOM have spelt "Derby" wrong. Its pronounced with an a, but spelt with an e...

  • They'll give children a loving home by telling them that they are wrong for being born a certain way!!

  • @RadioNothing Were not BORN gay because nobody is. Stop the "Born" lies and we can have a sensible debate

  • The Bible is a guide for hate crimes. Why would anyone believe in it?

  • Fail. Your hatred bores me.

  • this is what happens when a country truns into a complete secluar nation... Anyone whos religious will become the enemy

  • this is just not true. anyone who is ignorant or at least unaccepting becomes the enemy, because that is the source of so much of the true evil that appears in the human race

  • this is just not true. anyone who is ignorant or at least unaccepting becomes the enemy, because that is the source of so much of the true evil that appears in the human race. religion becomes the enemy because it imposes on people. i would hope humans have progressed to the point they can not even think about someone being the enemy or secularism and religion, and simply accept everyone equally as fellow human beings.

  • @kellyannabama sorry, but you are not the victim, you are the oppressor.

  • @kellyannabama Anyone who is religious IS the enemy. Imagine if these people were assigned a gay foster child. That would be a horrible environment for the kid to be in...maybe even leading them to feel even more like no one is there for them and then taking their own life. Then even MORE blood would be on the hands of the cause of "religious liberty."

  • Hey neo Klan, Washington is the about to be the next domino to fall against you bigots.

  • Good on the government! The fact of the matter is that people with damaging beliefs cannot foster, and should not be allowed to even have biological children.

You people are fighting for your "rights" to persecute people your book says.

And what right does this lady have to speak about unconditional love, and at the same time not support homosexuality!? Nothing in your book of tyranny talks about unconditional love. We all have to obey arbitrary rules or be sent to hell. Thats not unconditional

  • The issue isn't them opposing gay marriage, the key issue is them opposing homosexuality which is sexual behaviour and/or a sexual orientation to the same sex. Even with equal love provided, telling a child that being gay is wrong leads to harsh psychological harm for that said IF the child is gay. Imagine being a boy and hitting puberty at age 11-12 and realizing you only like boys and not girls and everyone around you is telling you that that is immoral and wrong. The child cannot handle that.

  • I didn't hear anyone say the child in question was homosexual. So why is it an issue if they oppose gay marriage? They said they would give any child equal love. So how can anyone stand behind the argument that a minute percentage of homosexual children committed suicide be blamed on every Christian foster home? How can Christianity be blamed for a homosexual person's inner torment?

  • @67chevlle Because it's Christianity that is the loudest voice in the condemnation and hatred of fellow human beings.

You can keep the definition if it means those that actually do believe in love don't have to be associated with the hatred you preach.

  • @FuguMoonlitgordo - I can't speak for your personal experiences with Christians, but you shouldn't be basing Christianity based off of the Christians you've heard of, been around, spoken to, and worked with; don't look for Christ in Christians- people are not perfect, and it would seem to me as if you're expecting perfection or an ideal--that ideal being Christ--from imperfect people, which is understandable, but not realistic. Look for Christ in the Bible- that's where He is.

  • @67chevlle "How can Christianity be blamed for a homosexual person's inner torment?"

thats a pretty simple answer. because it says you will suffer for being yourself. if my religion, our at least my society's dominant religion, said my way of life would cuz eternal suffering and i was in the wrong with it then i would def have some issues. how can anyone stand behind that argument? well maybe cuz it concerns a human beings life and well being.

  • @67chevlle "How can Christianity be blamed for a homosexual person's inner torment?"

Answer: The American Family Association, Focus on the Family, the Family Research Council, Abiding Truth Ministries, James Dobson, Don Wildemon, Peter LaBarbara, Matt Barber.... Need I go on?

  • There is a little bit more to the story and of course NOM doesn't put it in the video. Shame! Oh, and I see my comment has to be approved. Of course! Have it your way.

  • There is a little bit more to the story and of course NOM doesn't put it in the video. Shame!

  • Surprise! Surprise! Bigots come in all colors, beliefs and nationalities! So has the National Organization for Marriage now morphed into the International Organization for Marriage? And here I thought NOM was exclusively an American based hate group.

  • Bigotry is not a part of Christianity.

  • Bigotry is not apart of Christianity.

  • This is just 1 more warning example of where this once Christian country is headed.

    Pray for revival in America.

  • Would these foster parents also say it's not ok to be atheist or to be Muslim? I think they would, and I think they would be wrong.

  • I'm glad they were refused more children. In these cases we have to put children's psychological well-beings above the beliefs of the parents. If they are going to tell gay children that they are "wrong" or "immoral", that is psychologically damaging, and one of the key reasons that suicide rates are higher for LGBT youth. They seem like lovely people otherwise, but they should not be allowed to plant seeds of doubt and shame in children's minds when that could later lead to mental illness.

  • They say that they have unconditional love to give, but ONLY if that child isn't homosexual.

Their definition of 'unconditional' seems to be different than mine.

  • I understand what some of you are saying. This couple are good people of faith. But this one piece of their personal beliefs have a history of leading to psychological torment for gay kids ages 5 and up.

It's vital that we put the well being of children ahead of parents who want to adopt.

  • An anti- Christian agenda has never done well for societies.

  • @MormonsLoveFamilies, right, and Christian agendas have ALWAYS been good for societies: Dark Ages, Crusades, Inquisition, Salem Witch Trials, Slavery, Jim Crow Laws...

  • @gayathomemom Crusades stopped muslims from taking over countries/ continuing to rule countries where they MURDER lgbt's in public. witch trials/inquisition were done out of power and greed not because of Christ. Slavery is forbidden to Christians in the Bible. Racism is NOWHERE in the new testament and is against everything Jesus said... there you go

  • So a loving couple does not condone homosexuality and a few people in the government do not condone their Christianity, yet this couple are considered in the wrong?

Well, it is sad to see a government biased and discriminating against citizens who hold ethical standards.

  • @JeremiahA40 - Yep. Gotta love the hypocrisy.

  • @JeremiahA40 Denying homosexuals their basic civil rights because of an outdated and disproven religion is NOT holding to "ethical standards" it is making a mockery of them.

  • This is pure percecution!

  • Thank youNOM you are doing the right thing =)

  • Telling a child who is gay that homosexuality is wrong, for whatever reason, is psychologically damaging to that child. That's why the suicide rate among gay children (age 11 to 12) and teenagers has been so high.

The Johns seem like a lovely couple, but regardless of their religious views, the psychological well being of a child comes first.

  • @JRipsV Death threats to the organizers of Prop 8 in California, of course, aren't "psychologically damaging." Not to mention the vicious demonization of opponents to same-sex "marriage" that can be easily found on YouTube, or just in the comments on any of NOM's videos.

Please be honest with yourselves and admit it: Bullying, hatred, and intolerance are perfectly acceptable when used against same-sex "marriage" opponents.

  • @JRipsV - In that case the foster care organization would need simply to send children who label themselves as homosexuals to those who think otherwise, and that would be the end of it- the Johns wouldn't have been any worse for it, either. In fact, what about foster parents who are of another religion (for example, atheism)? Shouldn't they be evaluated based on whether or not they would devalue the child, telling them, for example, that their beliefs are wrong? After all, fair IS fair.

  • @JRipsV It is not psychologically damaging if they do it right. And this couple are sensitive.
