So THATS what chicken cordon bleu is! Hehe. I make something similar, called chicken provelone, that i got the recipie from Taste of home. Its available on their website if you do a simple search! Its super tasty, and a bit healthier (since there is no breadding involved)
@Midnightryder7 you can hear paula dean's bird in the background too sometimes! Dogs dont belong in the kitechen when you are cooking though, its a safety hazard for teh dog as well as their human.
this recipe is really good, and you're a natural but you really need to do something with your hair, Don't mean to be rude or anything, but it's all over your face, and looks a little bit unsanitary.
this is a good recipe , but , i wrap mine in bacon , deep fry for 3 minutes then bake for 25-30 mins. serve with mushroom gravey,,, mmmm ,,,, oh my arterys!
thanks for posting i have been experimenting with my grill and i have come up with many good recipes thank you for posting again i might cook that for my family tonight
There are several ways to make a Cordon Bleu; If you fold them over, you can use toothpicks or butcher's twin to hold them together, so they will look somewhat like a Calzone when done.
I cooked this for my family and they totally loved it. Thank you so much for such an easy explanation of how to do this recipe. It came out delicious! I will definetely be doing this more often. Awesome
Lol that's an enourmous pepper shaker... hah... Actually designed/used for service at the table (Server can easily reach over guests to season their salad/whatnot)
Would have been nice to see exactly how to do the toothpick thing. And did you put the enitre skillet into the oven or did you transfer the chicken to something else?
Thanks for the video, I bought some premade Chicken Cordon Bleus from the butcher and I'll be cooking them up tonight for my sister and dad who are coming for dinner. I wasn't sure how to cook them, but your video has explained it very well. Thanks again.

I agree about the hair. But the recipe looked good. Also, the angle of the camera needed to be close up on the food more.

There's a store in the Philippines that sells these things. They taste good with bacon... probably because I like bacon. :P

You are supposed to roll them up not just fold them in half.

first time i heard of leaving it for an hour so that the bake holds together. Have you done them otherwise before and had them fall apart?

Any germs from the chicken would dry out and die in about 10 minutes on the cutting board.
