@vulo1234455 No, that is an urban legend. In the first versions of the games, certain tones (called binaural tones) were believed to cause headaches when listened through headphones. Nintendo removed these tones when re-releasing the games (note that this was not the only reason for the re-release).

Lavender town is creepy already so people spread the rumor to keep up the hipe. You can find out more if you Google binaural tones.
