I checked on the exhausts. It seems all type p-15 had two 8 into 1 exhausts going down either side of it, while the type p-30 had 16 individual shorter exhausts. What we are hearing and seeing here is the p-30 with the very short exhausts.

This is probably not run at full rpm. These engines revved insanely in their day, but because of the value of the engine and the non-existing spare parts availability they are not revved to the maximum anymore.

I've heard this is THE engine to hear, but I'm not that impressed. true enough, it sounds great but it's NOT the best to my ears. at one point though, it does sound very close to the 2.5L 16v Cosworth DTM 190 II engine breathing through a carbon airbox... which is one of the hottest automotive sounds ever on my list. all in all, cool video... I can't dislike it.
