I fish the Little Su pretty often for kings. I only use 100 lb. ProLine. If you don't stop that first run before the fish get into the bushes you'll lose that fish. and btw, I have NEVER caught kings anywhere that hit as hard as those in the little su!
there using braid most common for kings in alaska mostly for back trolling kwiks, whick is what there doing you want about 50- 70 lb yellow braid.

I don't know. I just shoot it. We are fishing for 20 to 50 lb. fish in fast moving water, so I imagine the guides are usig pretty stot line.
