too bad by the time kazanori got his hands on the ps2, it was not as powerful as he thought and he was disapointed b/c he could not do the things he wanted b/c of limited hardware. he said it him in one of the gt5 videos on youtube. i forgot which one, if i find it again, i'll link you guys. i'm guessing the ps3 isn;'t as powerful as he thought either. WAIT FOR PS4 AND GT6 FOR MORE REALISM :D

am i the only person that hasnt heard of gran turismo 2000? was it a demo or something, how can i get it? also if anyone knows how do you get gran turismo hd!?

its gran turismo 3 but they had delayed it by over since it was suppose to be released in 2001 but releSED IN 2001 so they change the name to gran turismo 3

Gran Turismo 3 sold 15 million copies worldwide. I don't think they can beat it but who knows.. GT5 can end up to be the ultimate GT game we have always dream about. GT is a proven franchise that can sell millions in the long term. PS3 really need that right now. PS2 pulled out all it's blockbusters in the first 2 years and become a monster on the market. And no console in this gen have beaten that when it comes to massive sales and phenomenal software library.

and yes i think it's gonna happen when gt5 comes out. people want to play a new GT game on a new platform that's why the sales of GT4 wasn't huge in the states as GT3 was. they should make one GT per gen imo and focus on other genres like they will do after GT5. Mark my words, PS3 slim with price cut + GT5= long term seller worldwide. but GT has always helped Playstation sales worldwide. it's lacking that at the moment and a affordable price.

yes lol gran turismo is the only reason for a ps3 dam sony makes this game that dam good is a console shifter. i bought a ps3 just for gthd which was a demo gt is that dam good

console shifter is what it is. wii is living on gamecube mario franchises that sells crazy and casual sport games that picks up a new gaming audience. that said PS2 owners are still playing PS2. 50% of PS2 owners are GT fans and some of them have already bought a 360 because they can't wait and won't pay more than $300 for a ps3. but when gt5 comes out it would be the day when many jump on the playstation bandwagon. it's not bad that the game is still on works the price on ps3 is not there yet.

They should have wait to release ps3 till' 2008. 2006 was a big mistake when PS2 was still going. PS1 was Sony's first console and at that time when PS1 came out Sony had already planned for a new console and then it was 5 years in their mind but since the sales were over the expectations they kept PS1 on the market and supported it till 2005 but the last good games on PS1 was in 2001~2002.

Anyway, yeah I thought the graphics were better than that too but I cracked out the old PSX not long ago To play GT1 and I thought I was playing some weird ancient Lego racer game LOL.

Actually, no it's footage from Gran Turismo 2000 which was Gran Turismo 3's first title. It even tells you it's GT2000 at the beginning. The graphics here were still in development so it doesn't look nearly as good as GT3, but it definitely looks better than GT1 and GT2. If you replay those PSX games now they look horrible, although they were great back then.
