It was pretty small and, yes, there was bit of wrinkling. It took just a few minutes to expand... definitely no more than 30.

When you first opened the mattress topper, what did it look like? Was it kind of wrinkly with some already expanded slopes where it was folded? How long did it take to fully expand....worried since mine looks odd

Good, helpful information really. The way you explained the weight aspect (how the pressure pts are relieved) was very good. And also about the "coldness" aspect - that your little girl reminded you to say that was neat !
