it's so hard to get a job where i live. i applied for a local ice cream place, which i heard also got 200 other applications for summer jobs. needless to say i didn't get the job. i also applied for a lawn and garden shop as well as a grocery store and never got called back. looks like i'll be doing chores for my grandma all summer to make extra money.

the truth is that most people dont want to be associated with kids who smoke underage in alleys. to me that just seems kinda sketchy and if your someone who has alot to lose you obviously dont want to associate with them. i have no idea why people are freaking out about that.

i'd love to get a job. i used to babysit but the family "fired" me because the boy has a crazy phase right now. he says no to everything and doesn't want to go outside and stuff. i got good money for the work and now i miss the money that i got..
i'm only 13 and in germany firms and cafes aren't allowed to hire young people. you have to be at least 16 and that sucks!

I'm also 15 and I just got certification to be a lifeguard and today I filled out an application for a neighborhood pool that hires 15-year-olds and another for the YMCA for once I'm 16, at the end of July. I put babysitting in my occupation because I did 2 days per week last summer and I have the same job with another family this summer. I've always wanted a job, even though that sounds weird haha, so I'm really excited to start :)

@HelloKatyxo it's often best to just ignore rude/ignorant comments... people make them just to get a response from you, and when you respond it makes you look bad (which was their original goal) because you've come down to their level. admittedly, it can be tough to just let something go sometimes... but it's a good skill to learn :)
