I hope they start making modified gunstock warclubs. Modified, as in full tang Halberd style design that essentially makes it a distorted steel battle axe/club
I hate the one's Cold Steel makes. The spike is a joke.
It's probably a bad idea, but I like exotic weapons.
@LoneIndividual Cold Steels gunstock club is the best and only fully funtional club of its type on the current general market. Given that its such an unusual object, I really doubt any other manufacturer would undertake the endeavor to redesign the club according to your specifications. I would be gratefull Cold Steel even bothered making such a thing, and for its price its quality is superb and its damn near unbreakable.
I dont understand why they dont just use their combat knives for clost quarters weapons i mean a tomahawk is deadly, but it reqiures more range of motion, space, and training to hit the enemy with the blade than it would be with a knife; where you could just direct the point into the enemy's body and that requires little to no space to load up and swing down. A tomahawk is also more easy to block and see coming as it is bigger needs more space to allow the force for a kill than a knife.
@WillowFilmz Axes have a lot more knockdown power than a knife. A slash is not as deadly as a puncture. The modern tomahawks you see near the end are not heavy at all, so it doesn't take much strength to use. A tomahawk is a very useful weapon/tool. More so than a knife.
Tomahawks have come a long way since my native great grandparents carried them in combat. It's amazing to see that even today they're still viable and deadly tools.
I'll eventually break down and buy one of those ATC Lagana hawks, or a Benchmade if they go down in price considerably.
I don't doubt RMJ is a serious piece of steel but at 350.00 to 425.00 bucks a piece? I'll just tool around with my VTAC from American Tomahawk Company. $120.00 is as far as I'll go for a 'hawk.
Outstanding design improvements on an ancient weapon! My personal hawk is a Lagana and although its been a fantastic tool, the RMJ is by far a better design. As with any tool, you get what you pay for and in combat, I wouldn't depend on a $40.00 made in China balsa wood toy to keep me alive.
Skill, knowledge, material, and American made by Americans. It's worth it. Good Job RMJ!

@clancy6969 I agree with your point. Considering the use of a tomahawk, I wouldn't pay 350 dollars for some thing I probably wouldn't even get a chance to use, except maybe open cans of beans. Buy a Cold Steel tomahawk for less than 40 dollars and get the same results. Screw RMJ tactical for their ridiculous prices and exploiting the limited funds of our troops. 350 bucks my skinny ass!
@Dierwolf2000 Both, actually. They're a very durable, multi-purpose addition to the kit for infantry troops of all kinds, special forces included. Combat knives are hard and sharp, but they can break if you abuse them too much. These tomahawks are designed to take the abuse and keep on coming back for more. ;-)
well im glad to see a nice bit of gear being put out there for the folks on the sharp end to use. amazing how old becomes new again. speaking as a glassblower, im glad to see its not limited to just one material or purpose.
Next step? A gun that shoot tomahawk.

Trust me.. I used one over seas... You don't need much force for it to work.

@loctitevffv How do you like the Lagana? I've been lusting after one for a while now. I can't really afford the RMJ.

Looks like it takes all of 45 minutes to make one. Here you go, poor soldier, that will be 350 bucks.

@Dierwolf2000 RMJ Forge--Google it. He's making tomahawks for our troops today and they are in the field even as you read this. Modern, get it?
