okay please enlighten me on how you find chad's drumming plain and lack of style. I'm not saying he's the best drummer out there but hes certainly better and more enthusiastic than irons'. although it's harder to find footage with jack irons in the band, from what i've seen and even heard, Chad Smith, in terms of energy and creativity, is far more superior on stage than Jack.

Chad Smith is probably technically the better drummer, and was probably more suited for the band's change of musical direction, but in the early days, Jack had a better suited personality and interest, and was the closer energy to the other guys in my opinion.
