Has anyone here noticed that Mewtwo is actually the only pokemon who legitametly hasn't been defeated yet? Like every single other pokemon was, Arceus, Palkia, Dialga, Giratina, Deoxys, Rayquaza. But Mewtwo was never actually defeated.

@Shadowmaster272 Actually the battle in Mewtwo Returns could possibly be counted as a defeat. . . But on the other hand, Mewtwo had given himself up because Geovanni threatened to harm the clones if he hadn't. And even then, Geovanni's machines couldn't break Mewtwo's will.

Add that to the fact that Mewtwo is growing stronger with time, and I think that even still, Mewtwo (and Mew) cannot be truly defeated by force, unlike any other legendary that claims to be more powerful.

@BCSpore If Mewtwo hadn't gotten all frickin' zen after Ash's sacrifice in the first movie, he could have just force-choked Giovanni and blown up his helicopter and every Rocket Grunt's head with telekinesis. It's because of character development or perhaps badass decay that Mewtwo doesn't just pwn Team Rocket like a pimp the way he does in Mewtwo Strikes Back. Watching Mewtwo Returns directly after watching the first movie doesn't make ANY sense in terms of power levels unless you assume this.
