  • Johnny Boy,thanks for the music! Was so lucky to meet you.

    Good a'ving a puff /beer with you.

How meany people can play like you?

    Your the Daddy!!

  • Very nice but it sounds a bit self indulgent to me.

  • wonderful to hear it in this lower key; gives a really different feel (sexier I guess!) RIP JM, the greatest

  • one of the greatest, thanks for posting it.

  • Great performance, as was the case until his untimely death. In what key is this sung by JM?

  • @barry123tom C sharp, which is considerably lower than JM's original. But it gives that lovely JM bottom end, brill!!!!

  • When I was homeless and loveless, this song rang resonantly through my mind!

  • @sionnyn God bless ya

  • "no description available" ?? This is clearly from an episode of the German TV (WDR) show "Rockpalast" - it says so in big, neon letters at the back of the stage ! The show has been running since 1974. I remember seeing it when I lived in the older, smaller BRD in the 70s. Great live version of a great song, by the way ! Thanks for posting pikenekue !

  • i luv you tube...and whoo ever those Posters are, thank you...from the bottom of my heart, & you woke up capitalism....nice.

  • Miss you so much John. You were the man !!!

  • Why did he have to dies, when idiots like . . . . too many to mention . . . .are still around?

  • I have been going back to another version of this- with Kathy Mattea, Jerry Douglas, & Danny Thompson.... an absolutely fabulous vid. This however is just John.. doesn't get any better. Only wish I knew his music decades ago, but so glad I know it now. thanks BIG for posting this

  • I guess this is my favourite JM song, and that's a hard choice to make given he wrote so many great songs. I am so glad I saw him play live on several occasions, both solo and with his electric band....good times.

  • a man and his guitar in perfect symmetry - they broke the mold when JM was born

  • Thank you so much for posting this!

  • This guy will always be a legend, from the heart.

    R.I.P Mr Martyn

  • Great. Thanks for this.

  • Beautiful song ! Love John Martyn's work.

    Thank you!!! 5*
