Why Lotso? Nothing against Lotso or the other Disney Villains, but he's right up there in evilness with Chernabog, Ursula, and Scar; not exactly a friendly face to have kids dancing around with. Or am I the only one who was slightly unnerved by Lotso's multiple attempts to kill the Toy Story Gang?

@ztslovebird That's exactly what I said when I first heard about this months ago! If they were going for villains...why not Zurg? I much prefer him to Lotso.

Imagine if a young child went and met him, thought it was magical, then went and saw the movie...they'd be terrified!

@DeathofToast Same here, although Zurg isn't quite as "evil" as Lotso. Yes, he's a supervillain, but if you saw the Buzz Lightyear show, he was more like Dr. Drakken from Kim Possible (a bad guy, but never wins and sometimes has "goofy" plans)

Well, the way I see it, Lotso isn't one of a kind. His owner Daisy even got another (and presumably nicer) one after she lost him. So the Lotso we meet in the parks isn't THE Lotso that tried to kill the whole cast, just A Lotso who happens to be a lot friendlier.

I don't understand why Disney is pushing Lotso as such a likeable character? He was a complete villain in the movie! This doesn't seem right the way they are marketing this character to the kids. Do we see any of the other villians in friendly meet & greets or showcased with the good characters in parades? It doesn't make sense!

This was what I thought when I saw it too. I would think that some of the smaller kids that recently saw this movie would be scared, or at least confused. As far as other villians, I seem to remember seeing some villains, possibly Captain Hook and other characters from older films at meets and parades.

@justinbonytube Well the main purpose of the creation of 'World of Color' was to boost admission to Disney California Adventure. You have to understand that stuff have to be exclusive to other Disney Parks. How do you think Disneyland feels with all these stuff coming to WDW all the time???

I've personally checked him out and unfortunately not he doesn't have the trawberry smell but he is lots of fun all the same.
