Humans kill everything they can, they relocate animals to deal with their own problems, then blame it on the animals they caused suffering and torture to in the first place. Theres a bounty on coyotes 10 dollars an ear, so far ive made 60 dollars.

@hunting2748 I understand shooting a coyote that is attacking farm animals. Coyotes attacking humans is rare. I don't have the statics at hand now but do know that domestic dogs attack humans way more than coyotes do.

@jdseams I'm with you man. The coyotes in our area are becoming a serious problem. These ones have grown enough to start hunting the does and fawns, also keeping their lips wet with our chickens and turkeys. If we don't control them, they will become more bold attacking more things like our dogs and young kids. (no joke city slickers, a coyote would attack a kid if it is desensitized to humans enough)

@MrTristramj one yotes aint dogs, and they cause alot of trouble for farmers, they eat chickens, and some dependin on the size of the packs will attack cattle, and horses, and they do attack humans, and they get over populated really fast and it is just population/predator control, the same goes for bobcats, foxes, etc.
I'd love to go coyote hunting, but my only rifles are a .22 and a Mauser K98. I know a .22 isn't going to cut it but I will in no way ever mount a scope on my K98. Can you get close ebough to coyotes to hunting without a scope?
Ive killed many a coyote with a .22, just get to know your gun and learn how to hit vitals. Coyote might run a little bit but it should die if you do it properly
@youtoobenoobe actually, I should have clarified that I would never mount a scope on either of my rifles. Both are historical military rifles (the 22 being a cadet trainer) so in either case I would be hunting without a scope and would probably use the K98 as it has a longer range and far more power. I'd probably drop a coyote in its tracks with the K98 so long as I hit it anywhere in its chest area....22 not so much.

Were you using irons or an optic. All wild animals need population control. If the American buffalo had never been hunted. The mass population would have eaten all of the food, and multiple species would have gone extinct. We cant hunt the mountain lions where I live, and there are fences to keep deer off of the road. The lions eat the deer, so do coyotes. They can't migrate in because of the fence. I'm lucky to see a deer during the hunt, and its usually a doe.

@53Awesome friend of mine went through the same thing. his grandma owned 3 dogs. now she only has 2. pack of coyotes tore one dog up and his name is now smiley because his face is so messed up his teeth are always showing. they also damage both his eyes so hes blind, and the other dog was torn to shreds. theres a 5$ bounty on them where i live for each pair of coyote ears you bring into the DNR. during winter you could make 200$ off those suckers. plentiful around here.

At the prison i work for i had to go outside the fence and look around for shit . Well we are in the middle of the woods and have a pack of these mother fuckers , you can always hear them . @nastymonsters2 if coyotes were not hunted, they would eat all the food in an area and starve and die off. by culling their numbers it keeps them from eating our livestock which we need in order to survive as that is our food supply. it has to be done. there are roads in my community with no cats dogs deer horses or cows left because of these animals. if we can keep their numbers at bay we can live in harmony. dont forget humans are part of the natural world too. and the yotes are beneath us!

Unless it's a culling hunt though, I don't see the point in shooting Coyotes...they are a native species, so god put them here to do their thing...if there are too many then absolutely, cull the shit out of them..but shooting one just to kill it...waste of a bullet.

Were you using irons or an optic. All wild animals need population control. If the American buffalo had never been hunted. The mass population would have eaten all of the food, and multiple species would have gone extinct. We cant hunt the mountain lions where I live, and there are fences to keep deer off of the road. The lions eat the deer, so do coyotes. They can't migrate in because of the fence. I'm lucky to see a deer during the hunt, and its usually a doe.

Im all for hunting, for survival or to keep pest at bay (like coyotes) but hunting for sport(big game trophies, endangered species) or enjoying it sadistically is where i draw the line. @53Awesome friend of mine went through the same thing. his grandma owned 3 dogs. now she only has 2. pack of coyotes tore one dog up and his name is now smiley because his face is so messed up his teeth are always showing. they also damage both his eyes so hes blind, and the other dog was torn to shreds. theres a 5$ bounty on them where i live for each pair of coyote ears you bring into the DNR. during winter you could make 200$ off those suckers. plentiful around here.

2. Unless they are artificially controlled, hunting them, they will overpopulate, drive out the game animals, and eventually attack pets, livestock, and humans.
3. Coyotes are also a vector for several different diseases that can be transmitted to humans.
