Hi again, I got one o those now, but once its installed the stitches don't pick up. Any idea why? Thank you

Note the low speed. Not a good idea to race the machine with that attached.

interesting. is it difficult to install? I'm thinking about getting an industrial with an attachment like this. Also, are there different attachments for different styles of buttonholes?

Buttonholers are EASY to install. It's slightly harder than replacing a presser foot (Usually) as there is a lever to be fitted onto the needle shank. (Excuse my terminology, I'm a newbie with sewing machines.)
