Hello Simon. That is a great looking pitcher. I have one question though, How do you keep your spouts from dribbling down the side after they're poured? I've seen others thin the rim before they pull the spout and leave a sharp edge to cut the liquid and stop it from running, but you didn't do that. What keeps your pitchers from running? Thanks for all the great videos.
I'm a 'clicking fool' too, Simon. Every little bit helps! Really a beautiful pitcher. Got a load in the kiln now and I'll do a video on Friday, I guess.
Just beautiful throwing Simon. Very strong !!! Your footprint is still in the frozen ground outside our front door. It got cold again as soon as you left . March came in like a Lion and is going out like another Lion . All the best , Guy

Simon! I tried your method of using dry hands to remove pieces! And it work SO well! I was getting so frustrated, because I would always remove stuff and it would get a bit out of shape, but not it just never happens!
Simon, any tips for that knuckle lift? I end up knocking the clay off center or having uneven walls, especially with a larger lump of clay. I know, I know, 'keep practicing'!

I would really like to see you pull a handle for it and watch how you attach it. Excellent picture of a pitcher!

Simon, I have an old video of a "pitcher" being made at Winchcombe pottery. I think I'll copy it to DVD and send it to you.
Cheers, Andrew.

You're going to have to build another kiln to go with all these large pieces you're throwing, Simon :)

This pitcher is just lovely and a lot better than the last bottle, you've been practicing since you got back HaHa.
The finger marks are so parallel to one another! The camera angle right on again!
