I have always been very familiar with Crowded House but would never call myself a fan but seeing Neil Finn at Meredith blew me away. Atmosphere was absolutely amazing. I will never forget seeing this in the flesh!!!

The Boot is a GP tradition.. not a MMF tradition. It became GP's answer to The Gift. It's been hijacked a touch. That said, you'll never see better than Neil Finn at either festival so it's well deserved.

After 7 Merediths, this was possibly the BEST MMF moment ever... His whole set... And when Warren Ellis came out *sigh* *gasp* GLEE!!!

MAGIC. Meredith in a nutshell. Sunset on Saturday. Perfect communal vibe. Makes up for never getting to see Crowded House live...

@muddledduck You never saw them? Hmmm, I probably shouldn't tell you then that the first time I saw Crowded House was in 1988 at a private fundraiser I snuck into on some guy's property... then again I should, because this topped it. Like you say, the surrounds were just about perfect.

Mine too :) So many smiles, tears of joy, love and hugs when Neil came on stage. It's a pitty the whole set wasn't recorded. Hopefully their will be a DVD :) Definately one of many highlights. The shoe in the air thing, that was supposed to be for Paul Kelly only wasn't it? I think all musos of this calibre deserve the shoe in the air :)
