  • I like how in this scene the Terminator is the one who comes up with the idea to throw the arm and the chip into the steel and he's the one that realizes destroying all the chips could stop Judgement Day, even the one in his head. Had there never been a T3, it would have been the decision of the Terminator that saved the human race.

  • You guys are all nerds lmao

  • My mom reminded me of how I had 3-4 years to cry on this scene, to this day do not cry for no other film I am 22 years..

  • The Terminator was like a father figure to John. Thats what makes this scene emotional because it was like watching his dad leave for good.

  • this is a sad part but we all know HE'LL BE BACK!

  • This always makes me cry

  • i cry to see this shit

  • He could've just jumped down.

    Slow dramatic ending factor +100

  • @SpyGirll He couldn't self Terminate sir.

  • @Ironeyes07 ...ma'am, it is.

  • @SpyGirll ma'am? wtf?

  • @SpyGirll If you missed it, he actually says he can't self terminate because of his programming, that's why he had to be lowered down.

  • @SpyGirll

He told that he couldn't kill himself. If he jumped it would be sure, but because Sarah moved chains he in fact didn't kill himself.

  • @SpyGirll ,

I don't think a 200 kilogram cyborg will be able to jump.

  • This shit made ya'll cry? bahahahahahha!!! Fucking idiots :)

  • @iLoVeMaRiTzA12072010 Get in touch with your emotions asshole.

  • @iLoVeMaRiTzA12072010

I bet you are fucking idiot. You don't know what good movie means, don't you?

  • 1:36 i know now why you cry, but its something i can never do

  • hard to believe this came out in 92. such a well done movie

  • @steroidcupcake Its amazing how the CGI was more believable in old movies than it is in modern ones. T-1000 was perfectly done.

  • damn it, when he gave Jhon the thumbs up I couldn't stop crying back then and even right now... great, great scene... damn it

  • The music is so sad,and just before he is gone............thumbs up.........awesome.

  • MISSION ACCOMPLISHED....HASTA LA VISTA BABY.......

  • 1:30

the terminator could disobey johns order because he understands why humans cry. this reveals the human side of the terminator thus allowing him to feel emotion rather than perform tasks directed by humans as machines would

  • intense.it makes it way sadder that he gives john the thumb up at the end

  • I love the extreme edition with Kyle's cameo. I only consider T1 & T2 canon. I think it's beautiful they altered the future & destroyed cyberdyne, the arm & CPU of the 1st Terminator. I think Sarah not only did it for the world but for Reese as well. So when he's born he can grow up an easy life, rather then fighting against the machines.

  • nice vid, classic! sad ending in a great movie..

    regards, :D

  • kinda sad

  • First movie that made me cry. Even now it gets to me. Great scene in movie history

  • I live down the street from this steel mill LOL

  • The ending, the music, the performances are one of the best moments in movie history

  • I know now why you cry, but its something I can never do.

this was the first movie that made me cry.

  • how she can look at the future with sense of hope..cops are gonna come in any second now and prison her and john for life..i mean, world's gonna live, but she's gonna watch it behind bars..gr8 movie tho'

  • castle crashers makes a refrence to this when u kill the cyclops, when he falls in the lava, he gives a thumbs up while hes going under

  • Man tears are usually only allowed when a heroic dog dies but a heroic cyborg is close enough

  • @dmaster576 You win :p

  • this is the BEST SCENE of Terminator movies!

  • I so wanted a Terminator of my own lol Where do you order one from?

  • Shouldn't have cut off before the credits.

  • WE ARE DEAD! WE ARE ALL DEAD!

  • im 30 and still cry watching this

  • @michael8306

I know that you feel, bro!

  • im 30 and still cry watching this

  • I liked the bit where he told John to get to da choppa.

  • Happy 20th anniversary!

  • how anticlimactic would it have been if arnold would have done a belly flop into the steel?

  • @Shishizurui lmfao

  • @Shishizurui, they can't self-terminate ;-)

  • LOl it reminded me of scorpion in MK Shaolin!

  • that was a sad ending

  • "I know now why you cry, but it is something that I can never do."

  • noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • The thumbs up always gets to me :/

  • ''im sorry'' 1:18 i laughed so hard :D

  • hey he had to die or other wise skynet comes back

  • @MrCoolfuzzyclayton90 too bad Skynet DID come back in Terminator 3.

  • @HelloFade2 fuck yeah couse he was alive again

  • @MrCoolfuzzyclayton90 no HE wasn't alive, just another Terminator 101 robot/cyborg that looked like him.

  • @HelloFade2 oh i didint nkow that yeah i like the conversation dont u not rember me sara conner blowing up cyberdyne hasta la visa baby ring any bells there was a differnt t 101 is my favorite part i lvoe seeing that

  • best movie ending ever and the saddest ='(

  • We are gods, we create new race, we gives live in to the Machines.

  • Easily one of the best endings to a film ever. It only goes to show James Cameron is a God when it comes films.

  • I know now why you cry... but it is something I can never do! :(

  • I order you not to go... I order you NOT to go... I ORDER YOU NOT TO GO!!!

then after that the T800 just looks at him and gently wipes his tear away saying

"I know now why you cry, but its something I can never do".

    hasta la vista, baby

Uncle Bob will be remembered forever.

  • the three bastards are mad because arnold didn't give them the thumbs up before he left. HA

  • crying , allways ...

  • i remember replaying this scene over and over back when i was a kid...

i eventually ruined the VHS tape when the tape got all tangled... ='[

    a kids worst nightmare...

  • :,(

  • I called Bullsh$^ on the terminator finally figuring out why we cry!

  • The ending is quite emotional. Its weird how they melt one of the previous terminator arms in the steel yet Uncle Bob's arm is somewhere in the factory after his fight with T1000. I guess Judgement Day was inevitable.

  • goodbye (T_T)===b

  • scorpion did the same thumb up when he sinks into the lavas in mortal kombat shaolin monks

  • Rust In Peace

  • Before Tom Hanks got an audience emotionally invested in an inatimate object like a volleyball, James Cameron got us choked over a robot.

  • No matter how many times I watch this movie, I choke up every time this scene comes on.

  • It's a freaking robot, don't sympathize with it :P Love terminator

  • lol its a great movie and ending. but for all you people who cry because of a robot... GAAAAAAY

  • @gaza11833 - Fuck you.

  • @gaza11833 dude if we grew up together i guarantee we would not have been friends

  • It is James Cameron’s story and this is where he chose to end it. I enjoyed T3/T4 but they are not part of the same continuity.

  • "I know now why you cry . . but it's something I could never do."

I cried when I saw it the first time and every time afterwards.

  • @fukallovu I order you not to go... I order you NOT to go... I ORDER YOU NOT TO GO!!!

then after that the T800 just looks at him and gently wipes his tear away saying

"I know now why you cry, but its something I can never do".

    hasta la vista, baby

Uncle Bob will be remembered forever.

  • Neural Net Misfire At Mode addressing, imminent shutdown, ambient temperature overload... systems failiure in all 64789 sectors, systems failure mode levels 599, FKE Values normal 80,function levels, imminent shutdown.... From T101 DOS RSOD

  • one of the best machines ever made

  • bought the steel edition 10 years ago payed 90 guilders that's about 45 euro now..awesome movie

  • this scene always made me get a little choked up as a kid since i was a huge terminator fan (still am) and seeing him lowered into the molten steel was very sad:-(

  • @drewman187 word...

  • love the music so much!!

  • best background music, ever

  • This scene always made me cry when i was akid.

  • @chinook654 Still get emotional even as an adult.

Such a lovely ending to a truley wonderful piece of cimematic history

  • @chinook654 Same here, I'm 25 now and I just cried again :'(

  • @chinook654 made me :'( too

  • For those who missed the "thumbs up'' button! U'd better watch this 3:30!

  • because if a machine, the terminator can learn the value of human life, maybe we can to ....

  • I guess 78 people were lowered into the steel?

  • James Cameron needs to do more good movies like this or Aliens. Not that Avatar crap.

  • This movie was just too good. Damn, really wish they never tried 3 or 4... Story writing at it's finest for this one! You really see how much John, Sarah, and even the Terminator characters grow as the movie progresses all the way to the end.

  • godamnit... this sucks its like 2 seconds off sync

  • Thumbs up Arnold...thumbs up.

  • Why couldn't the series just end here?

  • @EEVEEdude11

It couldn't have just ended, oh no! Too succesful. The studiobosses and producers were shaking from the Moneyvision-Syndrom with Richter-5 strenght, preforming a private gay orgy with moneydumps all over there place.

  • terminator in this scene = kano from mortal kombat??????

  • 2 DISLIKES? There are two T-1000 prototypes on YouTube.

  • @ChadSpeaks loool

  • i cry when i first time watch this movie and this scene :(

  • Best movie and movie ending ever

  • am i the only guy with tears watching this?

  • @jackwills101 LOL NOPE!!!!

  • @jackwills101 What if it's something you could never do?

  • terminator VS chuck norris??? :\

  • This ending is great, but the original ending was extraordinary!

  • The music is so perfect for the scene. thumbs up if u think so.

  • A boy band actually made a song using the Terminator theme.

    [HQ] 101016 2PM - I'll Be Back + Dance Break Comeback

  • so sad T_T

  • put the full movie

  • i know we all hate terminator 3 but i think we gotta give the TX model credit, i thought it was an awesome design for a terminator! i liked the fact it was an endoskeleton mixed with liquid metal and had an arsenal of weapons on its right arm, its neon blue eyes were great also, gave it a little change from the red eyes and the fact a female played the part was a nice change also.. dunno i just think it should have got more recognition than it did...

  • If they really did stop Judgement Day, John would cease to exist

  • @seirvedcire

No, his destiny would just change. He's not a terminator. Whether judgement day happens or not, John lives on, but his destiny is to become the leader of the resistance. While a terminator cannot exist without skynet.

  • @snakeman1001 I know he's not a Terminator, but here's the thing: If judgement day didn't happen, Kyle Reese wouldn't have been sent back through time to protect Sarah and they wouldn't have fallen in love and.... you know, and therefore John would never have come to exist.

So, you see, Judgement Day is how John came to exist.

  • James Cameron is a genius!

  • This is the only film Ending I have cried to.

  • Realistically speaking, the terminator shouldn't be closing it's eyes when it hugged John or even showing emotions. But apart from that, BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!

  • #OMG a good movіe to download іt роор.su

  • She could have made it a lot less dramatic and just pushed him in.

  • This part always makes me cry! Cos I can't bear to see 10 yr old John crying

    It's really contagious

One of my favourite action movies of all time

  • those 2 ppl who "Dislike" are Gurly-MEN!!!

  • i cried in the end off terminator 2.. =')

  • Amazing :'(

  • If you make it to the theme song without crying the thumbs up ALWAYS gets you.

  • The first film I cried at and I'm proud of it, an epic ending to and epic movie.

  • I want to terminate the f***** who disliked this...

  • tterminator 1 and 2 are the series-the rest are shit

  • After all this time, I still get misty eyed at this. The thumbs up before he goes down gets me every time.

  • This is probably the best sequel to movie, i have ever seen.

  • as a kid i always wondered, Did the chain melt?

  • Sound is unsynced.

  • I consider 1 and 2 to stand as their own series.

The other movies are great on their own and are worth watching, they just don't fit in with the first 2.

  • @GamingForTheGamers First and Judgement Day are far better, never really took to Rise Of The Machines and Evolution.

  • when i was young i used to think this was a fantastic action movie ... now i understand this simply is a beautiful film

The tear part always remember me about Judas Priest song "Electric Eye",about satellites: "My tearless retina takes pictures that can prove"

Last words are awesome ... guys,if you've not, take a look to "Ikiru" by kurosawa ... it's old,but probably best film ever

  • Hello I am the cyber officer

  • no one can do family values in an action movie better than this. screw transformers and them crappy boygirl shallowness

  • also, thumbs up death! what a great way to go

  • t3 and t4 were good as movies. but this was epic as a series

  • Best fucking ending. EVER. This is the most memorable movie, fuck Terminator 4.

  • @J0hnn3hBoi True story.

  • "I cannot self terminate."

  • This scene unforgettable

  • I have to say that this is the best ending ever....

  • how stupid would arnie look if she never pushed the button...

  • lol wah

  • This ending got me crying. It was one of the most emotional aside from ET that got me to think abou the values of friendship and family.

  • EPIC...

  • The theme music 2:32 just makes the ending, its so beautiful.

  • when i was about 10 i watchec this bout 10 times a day lol and alays cried at the end

  • hands down one of the best ever movie endings, perfection

  • This is the most epic scene of all time.

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger should have been nominated for best actor in March 1992 from this film. This scene was really inspirational and worth an Oscar. Dam Hollywood nominates all the wrong films. The Hurt Locker was good and worth best picture.

To think that a machine with the humanity for mankind, sacrficed itself to save the future of the world. I don't understand how T3-Rise of the Machines picks up if the Terminator was destroyed and Skynet was blown up. T3 and T4 don't make sense.

  • @KyleKatarn789 , to me the most moving part of this extremely moving scene is when just before being terminated by the molten steel, T-800 gives John the thumbs-up he taught him earlier.

  • @KyleKatarn789 hmm maybe they have copy of the files alot of companies do that and u forgot the arm of this terminator they never destroy it.. XD

  • @KyleKatarn789 Rise Of The Machine and Evolution never should have been made, should have gone out why it was on high with two very successful films in the making and i also agree Arnie should have been nominated for best actor award.

  • Hello there CE!

  • The best quality clip I see out there on this particular scene. Good job.

  • Damn, this was a very emotional scene.

Seeing someone programmed to defend and protect you at all costs (not to mention the T-800 understood what human emotions really are) go like that is just very saddening.
