  • These skin colored bumps are frequently seen on the face, neck, armpit, arms, and hands but may occur anywhere on the body except the palms and soles. The skin lesion or bumps on the skin commonly has a plug of white, cheesy or waxy substance. Molluscum can spread through contact with contaminated objects, such as towels, clothing, or toys. The American Institute of Advanced Medicine has a 95% success rate in the treatment of molluscum. theaiam.com

  • how many people have committed suicide from having this?

i think i might just do it..ive had this for 1 year too long

and you faggot doctors keep lying and bribing money out of us....

  • @enditall727 Hey, my dctor told me to put something on it that made it worse...I finally got rid of mine with Aldera cream. Aldera is expensive, around 800 dollars, 300 with insurance. I had Molluscum for two years.

  • @TheNerfFanatic that's TOOOOOOOO damn much money

that's a wii,360 and ps3 with a couple games worth of money for a small ass thing of cream that has a 50% chance of working

    .....

well did you poke the mc with a needle before you applied the cream?

  • @enditall727 Are you serious? You would resort to suicide for this? I think that's part of your problem, and the reason for having this for so long. What you need to do is rev up your immune system. You do that by eating healthy food, exercising a few times a week, and reducing your stress level. You can also try a few of the home remedies that have worked for many. Hopefully by time you're better.

  • question for dr. paul: is it possible that the immune response (with or without the aid of treatment methods like efudex) to MC can pave the way rheumatoid arthritis or cause other types of temporary/permanent joint pain?

  • @hotboxingit

Molluscum Contagiosum can lead to inflammation on spots around them

so if you had it on your hands it is possible that you are effected by inflammation signs similair to the ones of a rheumatoid arthritis (which is also known to affect the hands very strongly)

  • Try PoxiDerm from Dalos BioPharma (dalosbio is the internet site). Its the only agent with published activity (AAD Abstracts, 2010) against molluscum. The only topical antiviral with activity against pox viruses. Dermatologists and pediatricians are now recommending it.

  • my daughter has a couple of these, probably caught at day care or swimming pool. I have used chryotherapy with 'over the counter' Wartner. I have applied it for short bursts in order to not burn the skin. The first attempt was successful however the MC are so tiny that there are additional new MC and the core has not developed fully - it is not possible to zap them. How do I rid her of the repeating virus? Please can you offer any advise?

  • What treatment have you seen to be the best. I currently have some on my buttocks and i tiold my doctor to cut them off because i'm tired of seeing them there. Is cutting them off work well?
