  • WTF?? Who cares if you are gay? Can't you just be happy being human for once like the rest of us? One of us instead of separating yourselves as different for once? I'm hetero; should I start a hetero-only Olympics?

My bad-that would be stereotyping, homophobic, and descriminatory, wouldn't it? Kinda like blacks and latinos having their own, separate things, isn't it? It's only bad if it's done to YOU.

  • @Metallicat100 I don't think us separating ourselves is the problem, the problem is when a kid is beaten, even killed for being gay. Every day that you can kiss your girlfriend or wife, in public, without fear of being ridiculed or worse, is a straight pride day for you. Who cares if you are straight and before you start telling "us" to be one of "you", tell "yours" to treat "us" the way "you" want to be treated.

    gets off my soapbox

  • @chcgomatt While I completely agree with the bullying thing, I think it's counterproductive to keep pointing out the differences between everyone. Isn't that the problem? The straights won't see the normalcy of gays and their relationships? That's what I hear gay people say all the time; 'we aren't free to marry who we want' etc. 'We're no different than you."

Which is it? I have family members who are gay; I never tell them 'they' should 'be like me'. Again, who cares if you're gay?

  • @chcgomatt Also, I really wasn't trying to bash, slam, or offend you or anyone else; was just having an incredibly discouraging day, you know? Japan, New Zealand, Libya, US economy, etc etc blah blah blah. I was just trying to point out that it's nice once in a while to admit that we're all not so very different from each other, for the most part.

Apologies if you took my meaning any other way. Like I said, discouraged.

  • @Metallicat100 all is good. we all have days like that. hope things are looking up in your world :)

  • @chcgomatt Thank you. Peace and blessings to you.

  • I didn't know fruit loops was a sport.

  • Lol its the freaking Buttpirate 500

  • WTF is this bullshit? Way to "empower" the most subversive element to humanity in their ongoing destruction of the human race. Looks like we're facing repeating another Rome ... but this time it's going to be world wide.

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

  • Thank you for posting this. Sharing this moment in Wrigley Field, of all places, was a life changing event for me. And Cyndi Lauper ... her performance was touching beyond words.

  • No need to be silly. The Gay Games has always welcomed hetrosexual participants and many friends come and compete with LGBT people. The Gay Games is changing the world. We empower LGBT people and we change perceptions of gay people in sport.

Come to Cologne, Germany 31 July 2010 to 7 August 2010.

  • Amazing Cindy !

  • Cyndi! :D

    5:45

    Fabulous woman...

  • Wtf? Having "gay games" would imply that someone who is gay is equal to being disabled or retarded and cannot compete in the normal olympics....which is dumb, unfounded, and just plain wrong. What the hell, why participate in this crap?

  • ser homofobico ya paso de moda

  • I'm homophobic? I'm saying that being gay IS NOT A HANDICAP, never said it was a choice or that it was wrong. There's a difference.

  • It wouldn't be fair for the lesbians haha

  • I'm sure there's competitive scissoring and pussy licking too.

  • very funny, man. a big thumbsup!

  • hahaha! that's a good one!

  • did the two guys make out at 4:02?

  • Please support Philippine gay sports and culture activists from Manila to participate in Cologne in 2010! You can find more information on our video titled "Pink Games" to know how to support us. Tell your other friends to watch our videos. Kudos to the Gay Games in Cologne!

  • HAAAHAAAAA gay games. . .lol

  • Here's a comment actually regarding the video. I went to the opening games & it was pretty much my first exposure to a large amount of ppl who are like me, and it was the BEST. I'm glad theres something about the closing ceremonies here cause I missed them.

And everyone - quit sniping at each other!!!

  • heyee...I hope the past 4 years have given you lots more exposure :D

  • Christopher Rastin, aka crastin, the official YouTube Outgames whore. Hey, Christopher, your petty sniping is nothing compared to your corrupt Outgames $5 deficit! Can't resist going into every Gay Games video to make nasty comments, can you, you arrogant prick of a Quebecer.

You and your bucktoothed Tewksbury have ruined the reputation of LGBT sports events. If it wasn't for this past summer's Gay Games, no one would ever contract with a gay sports event ever again.

  • I love you man :)

  • that kicked ass!!

  • I don't mean to be picking sides here, simply because of the whole GLISA and FGG hooplah, but it really does seem like the opening and closing ceremonies were directed and produced by a high school drama club... what's up with that?? Although I do love Cyndi...

  • @crastin I'm with you crastin. It all looks very, very discombopulated (g). Almost embarrasing.
