@1977Melville If you didn't buy it when it came out,it's no longer available,but I have pinball fx 1 and 2. The only benefit is that you can earn extra gamer score if you own pinball fx 1 and 2,but all the tables are on pinball fx 2

@WestcoastMusicals. That sucks considering I finally got xbox live up and running. So long as I didn't get cheated out of any tables that's ok. I found it amazing I am able to play arcade classics like TMNT and XMen in the comfort of my own home. Can't see how arcades can last much longer.

I have tryed both pinball fx and pinball hall of fame the williams colllection and found the later to have better physics (in my opinion) I am not saying pinball fx is bad just liked the real tables and play physics of the the williams colection better .I have not tryed pinball fx 2 yet so I cant comment on it yet .

Everyone, definitely check out Pinball FX 2. All the tables you got with PFX1 are upgraded in the game with the new physics system, and have a graphical upgrade as well. Awesome game! Oh, and PFX2 has multiplayer now! :)

ZEN Studios reported that there is an exclusivity contract between them and both Microsoft and Sony which is why you get different tables on both systems. They also said that on Oct 13th of 2010, all the original FX tables will get a graphical update when FX 2 comes out. Peace!

Nice review. Unfortunately the flipper action looks wrong yet again. I've never seen a video pinball get it right yet and I've been looking for 20 years. If you haven't played much real pinball then this is probably fine, but I'm still looking more accurate flipper physics. Unfortunately, Future Pinball gets it wrong too. It can't be that hard of a problem to solve, which leads me to believe that most video pinball developers aren't really expert pinball players.

A lot of these tables do seem to be based off of real life pinball machines (at least their layouts are).

For example, WNivek1 noticed that the Xtreme table is based on the BK2K layout.

Looking through the video, i've noticed several other similarities.

The Agent table layout is based on the layout of the Star Trek, The Next Generation machine (reversed), and the Buccaneer table layout is based on that of The Addams Family machine (not reversed).

Now if only i had an X-box 360...

Random note: the Xtreme table is based on the Williams table Black Knight 2000. The modes and decor may differ, but the layout is almost an exact mirror-image.

Now if only someone would remake the old Twilight Zone pinball table; I loved that thing.

you should get Visual pinball for PC, it has T2, Funhouse, Bride of pinbot, Pinbot, blah blah etc etc, alot of them. The tables use the actual ROM chip of the real machine so the lighting and scoring is pretty accurate. and its freeeeeee!

Zen Pinball has different tables, probably because Zen Studios wanted to make better tables as well as tweak some of the other features. Pinball Hall of Fame: Williams Collection is still better than both of these though.

Dude you've gotta play Pinball hall of fame. They just released it for 360 not too long ago. It's also on wii and ps2. Thats some great pinball. Taxi, Space Shuttle, Pinbot, Whirlwind, Funhouse and more. Great Great Game. Nice Review too!!!

I've got both Zen Pinball and Pinball FX, along with all of the downloadable content. Street Fighter II is the only game that's common between both versions. I like the PS3 version just a little better, because the leaderboards have more categories like score per second and highest score for one minute of play. All the tables for both versions have their strong points though.

downloadable content is cool, but a pain in the ass at the same time. i like being able to download a game. I like the freebie downloads. But why offer other tables AS DOWNLOADS to add on to the game you DOWNLOADED?! Why the fuck didn't if just come with them in the first place? That's annoying!

I think i used to have a copied version of Worms Pinball, i was confused about it because the worms on minigames were so different from Armageddon/2's worms..

I used to think that my demo of worms 2 was really the worms 1, then i later played worms 1 on ps1.

Pinball FX has been out for about 2 years. Rocky & Bullwinkle (DLC table) is my favourite. I have Zen Pinball, but I don't like those tables as much as the Pinball FX ones.

360 & PS3 Pinball fans should really get a hold of Pinball: Hall of fame. It has a dozen or so classic tables by Williams. Pinball HOF is my most played PS3 game by a long way :)

There is a Gottieb Collletion on the Wii, i think it has aroun 7 tables? looks a lot like this one, also Pinball Pulse and Metroid Prime Pinball for DS are amazingly amazing pinball games, the best Pinball games have to be the ones on the DS, mostly because of the camera, y love how the split the Table in 2 and you don't need an lowered down camera angle

Just wanted to say, Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection is on 360 and PS3 now, with three extra tables that aren't on the Wii or PS2 versions. It's DEFINITELY worth getting if you're a pinball fan.

Pinball FX came out in 2007 so I think it's the other way around.

I hear Zen Pinball had improved ball physics but I couldn't see an immediate improvment when I played it.
