He could've stayed in the creature group and not just be there but the creatures didn't really like that since they always felt chilled was an unimportant part of the group just like junkyard.

They kicked him out, they didn't talk it out - they just kicked him and showed in various ways that chilled was no longer a friend of theirs, except ze's.
