Funny! But in reality, Napoleon gave his troops guaranteed 'fringe benefits' including a free health plan. All his soldiers' medical bills (including for artifical limbs) were paid by their employer. There was also a free board&lodging disabled soldiers' home in Paris. (Other benefits: Literacy classes & widows pensions). Some people enlisted with Napoleon just to get the benefits!
