After about a month w/o a job he went to school to get his CDL. • think of all those truckers and their families next time you get in your car and get ready to start driving think about if you should be way more carefuller then you think you are being or drive recklessly and cause a truck to swurve to miss you and then they jack knife just think about that next time you are going to druve somewhere ok

  • please respect truckers on the roads guys cuz my dad drives trucks also and i would be devistated to get a call and hear that my dad was in and accident caused by one of you idiots saying that truckers are nuisance's on the road when really its you guys who dont pay attetion to the road when you are driving or you just randomly pull out in front of a semi almost causing them to jack knife there truck so pay attention to the road when you are driving plz guys

  • ive always respected truckers highway rights i just hate to think what would happen if one of them got pissed off at my car

  • Daughter and granddaughter of truck drivers.

Makes me miss my dad even as an adult.

  • This song brought tears to my ears, God bless America, I mean tears to my ears. Sorry, I meant tears to my eyes. Bless all american truckers.

  • This song brought tears to my ears, God bless America, I mean tears to my ears.

  • This song brought tears to my ears, God bless America

  • Whether it was divine intervention or a twist of fate, something brought that trucker back to the sight of his accident a year later , right down to the time, to save the life of the man who had saved his life a year before. Yes, this is a true story. All you idiots out there bitching about truckers and their rigs , stop it ! One of those " damn truckers" might just save your life one night.

  • He then pulled the other trucker out and reformed cpr while his wife called for an abulance. Once the ambulance was on its way, and the 2nd trucker was breathing agian, the trucker's wife heard him say," Oh my god," after he got a good look at the man he'd just saved. When she asked him what was wrong the 1st trucker said," I got into a wreck on this road , in this exact spot a year ago today and this is the man that saved my life that night."

  • Exactly a year later the trucker and his wife were driving down that same road when they came across a wreacked rig in the exact same spot. Much like there is a siblinghood amoungst police officers, firefighters and soldiers, there is a siblinghood amoungst truckers. The trucker wasn't going to let a fellow trucker die, and here was his chance to pay forward the kindness that had been done to him a year earlier. He got out of his car, rushed to the truck broke the window.

  • Watching this made me rememer a story I heard a few years ago. A man and his wife were cutting a trip short because they'd gotten word their young son was sick. While driving down the road, they came upon a wreacked big rig. The man hopped out of his truck and rushed to the rig. He smashed the window and pulled the trucker out. While he preformed cpr on the trucker, his wife got on the radio and called for an abulance.

  • I am a truck driver. I haul milk I pick it up from farms then take it to the dairy. I am 26 years old and I am a son of a trucker. The one thing that makes me really mad is when cars jump in front of you before a red light. They dont understand that they put there self in alot of danger. I pull a tanker what happens when you try to stop. liqud still moves so you try to stop fast and the more it pushs you. Thank you people that has common sense.

  • @JasonEBurton god i hate it when loads slosh, especially when they only load it 60%, it feels like you broke your back. those retard drivers should know not to do that anyways because our trucks dont stop on dimes, and its a hassle because if you like me, you like to roll to the light so when it turns green its easier to go then stopping.

  • roll on daddy and get home safe love u daddy

  • I am a truckers widow, love this song! And for those who don't know what that means, my husband drives truck so I never see him... he's not actually dead, sometimes it seems that way as long as he's gone though. I wish he could be home more, but we have to make a living somehow

  • THINKING OF MY BROTHER MIKE, WHO WAS A TRUCKER FOR YEARS, UNTIL HE BECAME TOO ILL AND HAD TO LEAVE THE ROAD. HIS HANDLE WAS TOWNDRUNK, NEVADA, IOWA.

  • 0:26 looks exactly like one of our semis

  • my father was and still is a truck driver! we always waited to see him! we waited for the phone to ring at night so we could say good night and we love and miss you! these truckers work their asses off for very little kinda like the military! wonder if its even worth it! most of the truck drivers are lifers! very dedicated! THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!

  • 47 people don't like Peterbuilt.

  • My brother used to travel in a peterbuilt truck making long runs. I used to worry but his peterbuilt always brought him back. GO PETERBUILT! SAFE TRAVELS TRUCKERS. You've got a dangerous job driving those big trucks.

  • @249outcast My dad was a trucker all my life until one day he didn't make it home. He was killed on the road he's heart gave away at the age of 51 and this is a poem that I wrote and read at his funeral he was my best friend and my life until I was saved now the Lord is my life. I am 48 years old now and now faced with losing my mother any day she is fighting stage 4 lung cancer. You are right the truckers need respect and don't ever drive in the blind spot my mother drove as well. But here is

  • @kellbaby1978 Hammer down

Where there are no ropes or finces no more dispatch on the phone Just a free and easy spirit on his final journey home

He'll never face another heart acke he'll not shed another tear and reaching out through destiny he shifts his final gear

As he rides beyond the sunset

He waves his last good bye

Now he rolls across forever on that Highway in the sky.

Have a blessed day and be safe. I too Love the road and trucker's for what they do for us

    "GOIN HOME"

Eighteen wheels roll down a highway on the other side of time, Where a dark and ghostly shadow moves along the centerline, Ad he rolls across tomorrow through that final border town

  • @249outcast I was a trucker, its not that hard, but a lot of fun!!!!!

  • @249outcast what about men serving there country by fighting wars?

  • @Prodecessor981 you're comparing apples to oranges. serving our country is a big sacrifice that any true American appreciates and is grateful for; myself included. tours of duty last 6 months to a year, some of these drivers got in a truck with they were 17 and 18, and here they are 30 years later... still holding on to that steering wheel 14 hours a day, 5 days a week. most of the drivers I know maybe take 2-3 days off a year. there are no sick days or vacation days for truck drivers.

  • @249outcast I agree. i went with my dad off and on for 7 or 8 years and developed a love for them big trucks and all the truckers who drive them. I went got my CDL after the army and i am gonna start my truck driving career in less than a week.

  • @brasalies good luck man

  • @brasalies Something about the smell of diesel for those of us lucky enough to grew up with it. that said it is a hard life being a trucker's kid.Especially if you got a two timing mother.

  • yeah i know how that was. my mom did the same thing

  • @brasalies Good luck to you my friend. I am sure your dad told you to finesse the truck,in other words ease it on through the gears

in all conditions...when you hit the high hole,HAMMER DOWN!!!! {within reason of course).

  • @brasalies

    How's the job going mate?

  • @brasalies how is your trck driving career going so far?

  • @brasalies Respect for serving our country and pursuing the life and career you desire.

  • 10-4....waffle, whaffle!

  • hey everyone its 10/4 today! NATIONAL TRUCKER APPRECIATION DAY!

nah just made that up but seriously it should be seein as how these guys are the backbone of america and diserve it we should take that into consideration cus i hardly ever see anyone give thanks to our truck driving men and women.

  • my daddy is a truck driver! this is a song we sing when i ride with him :)

  • My hubsand and several family/friends that are truckers! GOD BLESS THEM! Unless you are in a trucker's family you have no idea what they go through on the road. Be SAFE and COME home to your family and friends!!! USA would crumble if it wasn't for ALL THE TRUCKERS!!!!!

  • without truck drivers, america stops, and strippers make a lot less money!

  • I love this song from my childhood, though we never have any "truckers" in our country ( too small for all that).

Love the ALABAMA group to the hilt.

    Cheers,

    Preethi W (From Sri Lanka)

  • Trucking is all i've known my whole life...I grew up a truckers daughter and to this day its what i know..Without truck drivers we would have nothing. GOD bless all of them and there everyday travels....KEEP TRUCKING

  • I'm a trucker's grand daughter, trucker's daughter AND a trucker's wife.. I remember this song back in the day when i was a kid.. Dad's been driving for damn near 40 years now, We always waited for "the call," thank god we never got one!! Dad's still truckin.. I miss going on the truck.. Trucker's are labeled as a nuisance on the road, or they're too stupid to get a real job.. But you'll be the first to bitch when you have nothing to eat or any toilet paper to wipe your ass.. Thank a trucker!!

  • @ImaTruckersDaughter ... that is what I say ... hate them till the shelves in all the stores go bare and all the gas runs out at the pumps...they'll want them back !!!

  • @ImaTruckersDaughter so true, im gettin my interstate cdls soon! cant wait!

  • @ImaTruckersDaughter...I have to agree that there is quite a few people that do underestimate truck drivers out there these days. I know because I drive on the highways on a daily basis have seen first hand that when there has been an accident the "truck drivers" are the first ones on the scene to help out. They are doing a job just as much as the rest of us as they families too. Don't be too quick to judge others...they are just trying to "make a buck" like we all do.

  • @ImaTruckersDaughter haha yeah i find it funny that the "smart" people who complain probly couldnt drive a rig if their life depended on it, and the people who say they are a nuicence are usually horrible drivers who are probly complaining because the trucks do 60 down the highway instead of 85 like they do.
