Yes of course it is ideal...but not the reality for all women and there needs to be support for women who have trouble as well and resources so that they don't feel pressured and lapse into postpartum depression from being exhausted and having feelings like they are a bad mother because they can't breastfeed.

When my elder daughter fed my grandson with her breast milk, the personnel in the hospital treated her as a hero! That tells you how rare that was, unfortunately.

Everyone has their 'faults' and that's what being human is, it's not like she went around critizing other women for it. And I mean NO OFFENSE by this, but if that were the case then by judging her that would make you a hypocrite...Christians aren't supposed to do that and yet there's the comment in black and white. Besides, better to see an 'unwed' mother in love with the father than a 'married' 1 that hates him. I've been taught that marriage lies in the heart, not the ring nor legal system.

Maybe then you should look up what the word "hypocrite" means. She was given an amazing talent by God, and the world open it's arms to her. She chose to showcase herself as not only a "Christian" artist, but a Catholic artist, and yet here she is, living openly in a state of sin. Scandal itself is a sin - leading others to sin where they otherwise would not - and glamorizing sin - fornication and living together in an unmarried state - is not respecting the gifts God has given her.

I think it's important to be honest about what we do, but also merciful and understanding that we all have our reasons and ultimately it's between us and God. We should, if we're Christian, really try to lead a good Christian life and be a good example but we're humans not angels.
