That is an older TR-10 at work, You use them to to take out and replace the ties when working on a tie gang or doing ties where there are switches. It`s a really hard machine to run, but once you get the hang of it, its no sweat. I, myself will never operate one as it comes with lots of responsibilty and maintenance. I like to stick with the simple machines when Im at work.

As patriotic Americans, we need to get behind Republican leadership that can get our jobs back. Trains might look fun, but they hurt jobs because they use less oil than trucks and they are subsidized by government pork like Amtrak.
well for one railroads havent been sub'd since the depression in the 30's and right now if your working for the railroad it dont hurt the enviroment as much as the 300 trucks one train makes up so on that note start thinking about the future and your kids...

You have to love the fact that the railroad takes so many gas guzzling, highway clogging, nasty emissions breathing semi-trucks off the road. I mean, I do love being stuck behind an 18 wheeler on the highway while it contributes to the deterioration of the ozone as it hauls 1/4000 what a doublestack or spine car can. Railroads are SUBSIDIZED by the government. Trucks and cars work on their own. No subsidies. Vote NO to end rail road monopolies. Freight railways pay for their own maintenance and capital improvement projects unlike highways which carry the semi-trucks and cars you are oh so fond of. You work for a railroad? So you admit your bias! The trucking industry has suffered recently because of the unfair competition from trains. AMTRAK IS SUBSIDIZED STOP LYING! So therefore RAIL IS SUBSIDIZED! Freeways and airports don't cost as much to operate and they create more jobs and you have to have roads for cars anyways so the extra amount of lanes and repairs for truck weight isn't much. DO YOUR RESEARCH! And, trains have much bigger engines then trucks so TRAINS pollute MORE then trucks!
