  • I like your truck...and I want your sandwich.

  • what is exhaust temperature? can't see nubers clear enough, i think i saw a gauge for that :-)

  • what other mods besides the quadzilla?

  • I like the full tank of gas :)

  • @thomasC63 guage is broke lol

  • O/D On [OFF]

  • Nice! Good vid.

  • must be a fun ride down in snow.

  • manual or auto? camera never dipped down enough to see a shifter. what year of truck?

  • you gonna eat that cake on the dash?

  • ha shit the new ford ecoboost v-6 pulls that weighthahahaha

  • @tyeson85 the ecoboost would also eat twice the amount of fuel and wouldnt last even half as long even if that engine was in a 3/4 ton or larger truck that v6 is an awsome engine but cant compare to a diesel when hauling something

  • @MrNelsonb2 well ya i get what your sayn' i agree also, i just was sayn' the ecoboost can pull big big weight which is awesome for the engine that it is, It does pull as much weight as the diesel engines though....I know that because I work on them, but i do get what your sayn a diesel engine does last a LONG time, and is naturaly stronger, cuz well lets face it thats what diesles were built to do

  • That sounded pretty cool.

  • Hey man I love your truck dude. I'm trying to convert my truck to the sport package and also stack it. I think that looks sick but nice video

  • god damn ...what were your egts at

  • whats the grade on that hill, i dont even think that shit qualifies as a hill.

  • @superpwn2000 well its hard to tell in the video but its a 10% grade and about a mile long.

  • @superpwn2000 Look at when he points out the side window. See how all the trees are leaning forward? trees dont naturally grow that way.... lol.

  • you have lost your mind if u think that trailer weighs 16000.... maybe 2500 or 3000. give us a break son!

  • @mikespeed100 If you would read the comments you could see that its a 28ft trailer hauling gravel and it was weighed at 15550 lbs on the scales.

  • @jesjohnsoncummins Ever wonder how someone can geuss how much a trailer weighs by the sound of your truck? And 2500 / 3000 pounds....How the hell would you tell the difference in 500 pounds? lol

Hell a full tank of fuel is that much, Let alone if you have 110gal tank in ur bed also "aux tank of course"

  • @mikespeed100 dont you look like a dumb fuck now

  • @mikespeed100 I have a 24ft flat deck trailer i use for my race cars and atv's, the tare weight is 2250lbs...i think your off a bit on your numbers.

  • @mikespeed100 I could buy that its max load is 16000, but the trailesr is about 2500 itself.

  • alot of trucks can hall over there max weight guys...

  • weakkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • good pull !!!

  • I couldnt imagine trying to do this in a stock 12v or 24v prob be a shitty pull if your gunna get a truck and jsut tow with it stock id try to find a 7.3 powerstroke but if oyur looking for making power get a sec gen 12v ...the only good part arbout a dodge is the cummins the rest is all shit made....almost dont rebuilding a whole truck fromt he gorund up and the only thing i didnt touch was the engine...besides injectors and such

  • you guys act like it cant be done with a light truck we pull a 17k toyhauler with a stock 7.3 powerstroke....2klbs of tongue weight though

  • @6detroitdiesel5 calling bullshit on that hahaha

  • im going to be pulling a trailer that will weigh about 8k will i need a dodge v6 or v8?

  • @ImC00LyourNOT youll need a dodge stright 6 (;

  • Dulce...Pretty close to where I live. In Pagosa Springs Co

  • the trailer is empty

  • dodge power baby!!

  • sweet video dude. i agree with yea gravels heavy as shit ive wieghed in at 25,000k with my 7.3 with just a little 16 ft dump trailer.

  • Comment removed

  • my bad dude it looks like the trailer is very rusty but i build trailers and know they are built well! but very nice truck!

  • Nice autometers.

  • you really think that trailer weighs 16k???!!! looks more like maybe 3k tops. its a little piece of shit horse trailer! unloaded horse trailer!

  • @bobwaters420 well actaully its a pretty heavy built 26 ft horse trailer and it is loaded about four feet deep with gravel i dont know if you have ever hauled gravel but its really heavy, i weghed the truck and trailer on DOT scales before loaiding and it came out to 14500 after loading it was right at 30000 so the trailer is not quite 16k, so its 15500 sorry.

  • @jesjohnsoncummins Not saying you are like lying or anything, but what model horse trailer is it? I dont know of any that are capable of hauling 16,000 lbs, and if thats what you were really hauling with a light duty pick up truck, why werent you worried about it being able to stop and being safe, as the truck is far too light to safely control that load if something went wrong. To safely tow that, youd have to have at least 2000 some lbs of tongue weight on the back of the truck.

  • @kevintomb I really dont know what brand or model of trailer it is its my dads old gooseneck stock trailer its 26ft long it has triple axles and is built pretty heavy the axles are 7000Lb rated axles so with three that makes 21000, i think it will handle 16000 no problem, and the truck has a towing weight rating of 15000 for a fifth wheel, so i guess 1000 over weight could be a problem but i really doubt it.

  • @jesjohnsoncummins i belive u cause..i own 1 their pretty strong.

  • wait so your telling me you pulled 30,000 with your cummins?

  • wait so your telling me you pulled 30,000 with your cummins? oo and were you in top gear?

  • @bobwaters420 Lolz, way to make an ass out of yourself.

  • you should have shifted into 5th to keep it in the powerband. peak torque is around 1600

  • @everynameistaken567 well actually peek torque is around 1400 but if you lug it that much your boost goes through the roof and your EGTs max out pretty quick

  • @everynameistaken567 EGT would've went through the roof doing that. Its also generally not recommended to lug a NV4500HD transmission in 5th, they've been known to back the nut off the gear. A 4500 behind a Cummins is particularly known to do it due to lots of torque at low rpm.

  • what lug is your truck??8x6.5??

  • According to Fords new Superduty website a Dodge diesel cant pull a trailer up a hill. haha.

  • @Herps85 According to most people here your a fag.

  • @9595Cummins Dude read it again. My statement was basically laughing at how ridiculous Fords statement is.

  • @Herps85 according to dodges website. ford is for lil girls..

  • its a good size load. my dad pulled 15 tons of railroad off the train tracks in 50 foot sections. gotta love 4wd low lock. he eventually cut it into two foot sections and ran all 15 tons on his 22 ft dovetail. that was a fun day. Cummins. (:

  • It should easy pull 16k I pull a 43 foot toyhauler and was at 28000 gross and could pull any hill at speed with my stock 6.7

    see some of my vids

  • Dodge 4 life

  • what were your egt's at?

  • your prm only goes up to4k??? mustg be a diesle thing im guessing? never owned or drivin a diesel

  • @youdragon yes, because diesels make longer cylinder strokes

  • @youdragon 4k is pretty high for a diesel... quite a few older big rig diesels had a hard time turning much more then 2000....

  • @youdragon yup. competition sled pullers max at 6k. it's the ignition system mostly. diesels are compression ignited and have trouble revving past 5k with lots of mods. sock internals are good in a cummins till about 4k before you start breaking stuff. the pistons are really heavy lol. since the 359 cubic inches is split up between only 6 pistons.

  • what are the gears?

  • @grizzlyman239 it has 3.54 gears in the rear and i had it in 4th gear pullin the hill and it is a 5 speed tranny. it also has 35" tires on it too.

  • @jesjohnsoncummins do you have a dd clutch in that thing? that's a hell of a combo for a single disk clutch. lol.

  • @jt4265 ya its southbend dual dish

  • @jesjohnsoncummins what model exactly? mine is trashed (stock single disk with 200k) and it slips going up mellow hills with 6k behind it. i'm torn between a south bend dd and a valair dd. how do you like it? driving impressions?

  • @jt4265 i dont remember the model for sure its the cheapest dd from southbend. They are a little wierd to get used to drivin because the clutch applies sooner and a lot harder. It has never slipped at all with a heavy load or hot rodding. I have had southbends in all my trucks and i Like them. The DD is kinda wierd but its tough.

  • @jesjohnsoncummins sweet thanks for the review. good to know.

  • It looks like you were pulling an empty livestock trailer. It wouldn't even weigh 16k pounds if it was full of concrete.

  • it was a 24 ft livestock trailer filled with gravel about half way up and all the way from front to back

  • @jesjohnsoncummins it still wouldnt weigh that much

srry but its true this is a light load

  • @g0dofimmortality it would weight more............btw if that trailers half way with gravel hes towing alot

  • what were your EGT's like?

  • thats alot of boost for running at only 2000 rpm our powerstroke only gets 12-15 at 2500 rpm

    gotto love them dodges

  • they also rev alot higher

  • Looks like I40 through Williams/Flagstaff. Big grade, good pull. Ive got a Duramax that loves to work like that also....gotta love them Diesels.

  • @The1WhoSMBTY Just drove through there with a 2500HD gasser pulling a horse and trailer, I was at 4k the entire time barely going. I traded the chevy in the next day for a 6.7 cummins.

  • you cant compare a gas chevy to a cummins. maybe a duramax to a cummins thats more like it.

  • @sowawoodenboats well I did compare them since the 2500HD gasser should be able to pull a trailer like that with ease. My cummins pulled my 26ft camper into a head wind and I got 14-15 mpg, I have gotten almost 23 mph without towing anything. I also had both trucks tuned. The cummins has an XRT with supporting mods, The 6.0 had a blackbear tune and cat back exhaust. The gasser was just a dog period.

  • Must be a manual and had her in 4th gear?

  • wow...how exciting....

  • dually i hope?

  • no it is just a 2500 but it has two extra leafs in the back to make the 3" lift so it has a little haevier suspension than a dually

  • ohh that fucker just LOVES that!

  • where's the hill?

  • i didnt see one either

  • try h&s xrt or smarty s67 chip

  • Nice video...motor sounds great pulling up the mountain.

Has the Quadzilla been good for you? Have you used anything else?

  • ya i like the quadzilla i had an edge juice on it and it fried the computer so i put a banks big hoss on it next but it didnt give it as much power so i tried the quadzilla and really like it and have had no problems

  • cummins are tough my 92 cummins with just a turbo upgrade and power pin pulls 28k no problem and thats at 60mph with some to go

  • only 16k weak cummins do you have anything done to it

  • it has a quadzilla chip, 100hp injesctors dual 4" exhaust a K&Nf and a cfm plus power elbow and electric fans i only had the chip on the second setting cuz the engine kept getting hot if i hammered on it to much

  • You need to get you a better chip bigger echaust and a turbo and you wont have that overheating problem

  • it wasnt the egt's getting hot it was staying around 1100 it was the jwt temp getting hot and i believe the quadzilla adrenaline box is the largest chip you can get for that year cummins

  • I dont know what year you have but look into either a cummins blue chip or a smarty they are a lot better

  • A smarty is by far the best for a commonrail IMO not too far behind is the bullydog CRAZYLARRY if u can get ur hands on that tune from somebody.... nice truck tho sounds good =)!!!!

  • If it's automatic get a seperate tranny cooler. If it's a stick you have other problems. EGTs 1100 is great on a stock turbo with 100hp injectors. I don't think that VP44 pump likes that too much though. You can also try Redlines Water Wetter in your radiator.

  • too bad u had no luck with the edge i hear they are the best for the 24valves.

  • edge is the worse chip out there for any dodge

  • @TJMcKimm....i know i gotta smarty on mine

  • What is in that short trailer weighing 16,000 #'s???

  • well it is a 24ft trailer full of gravel, kinda the redneck way to haul gravel in a horse trailer

  • gotta love cummins.

6 in a row, built to tow

    what gear you in?

  • i was in 4th gear and it never slowed the engine down one bit i probably could've pulled it in 5th but it is kinda hard on the tranny

  • i live up in canada, i drive a 03 cummins and i was pulling my 27 foot trailer witch only weighs about 7200 loaded threw the rockes, and my old lady in her civic couldnt even keep up to me, on the first setting on my triple dog
