thanks wildstar1 for the vid......these birds are smart, aggressive, and can fly real fast if needed. And often will roost at night in the tree tops. They were George Washington's first choice for the National Bird for a reason! -BBQ Pit Boys
Hi! Thanks for watching them. They were just foraging for food late one afternoon. Got lucky to be able to get close enough to video them for so long! They eventually disappeared into the woods.:)
lol, They do make some pretty weird sounds for birds. We see them alot but it's hard to get good footage of them. These were in a picnic area near the Ala. river.
My experience with wild turkeys has been more "up close and personal." Search for "Attack of the Wild Turkeys," by DTHRocket. I thought turkeys were elusive and secretive too! Not around my location they aren't!
Yeah, I'd imagine she probably does! How cool. I've seen lots of them lately, out in the fields. I'm going to have more video of them soon! Thanks for watching and the nice comment.:)
They started coming to my birdfeeder, so I went out and bought some wild game feed, and now they come two to three times a day. We have about 10 of them coming around now, but when the snow melts it will be easier for them to find food. We had over 70" of now last month in Central New York area.

They're a great flock you've got there! Did they fly up to roost and the end, or did you spook them?

Great music. We're in Georgia - just had about 15 in our yard! They must be on the comeback - goodness they make some strange sounds!

Nice footage!
I have a turkey hen visiting my property, I suspect that she likes the feed that I give to my chickens.

OMG! That's great. We only get to see them from the road occasionally, out in a field, or sometimes while hiking. Wish we'd get some snow here.:)
