The car runs great with the megasquirt unit and 3.0 engine. The car now drives the way it looks... :) During this video I was getting spark blowout. I was only able to get 9 lbs of boost but I have fixed the car since then, and I'm up around 12 or 13 lbs of boost so the numbers should be higher :)

That TQ number is very impressive! Many dont understand TQ is what gets that thing moving, better 0-60 than a 300HP 230lb TQ engine.

how was a stealth r/t tt a girls car? It came with a 320hp and 317lbs of TQ stock and did 0-60 in 5 secs flat. It even outperformed th lt1 corvette. Snice having upgraded turbos and intercooler,injectors, fuel manangemet, intake and exhaust I put down 494hp and 472lbs TQ on the dyno a yr ago b4 recently havin the heads redone and upgraded cams. Oh yeah it has a 6sp and awd. In stck form a 95 stealth r/t tt would hand ur toaster its ass!!! Where are you getting ur weight figures from?

Is yours a european version or the aerican version? cuz the europeans version did weight about 2,800lbs but the american was about 3,600lbs. I will admit when Im wrong. I did something similar with my 88 pontiac fiero Gt except I dropped a 383 stroker chevy small block v-8 in it.

ur basically running a detuned version of my 3.0 DOHC 24v. Why dont you pick up a non turbo 3.0 DOHC 24v outta of a stealth/3000GT? they run 222hp and 219lbs TQ from the factory and with some cams and heads redone and lil bigger injectors and intake and exhaust you can easily get lower to mid 300hp outta it and its all aluminum and weghs nothing and has no turbo lag. Just a suggestion cuz the parts are cheap for em.

plus if you wanted to could buy a fuel management system for like a grand and a upgraded twin turbo and single intercooler kit for like 4 grand. comes with external blow off valves and everything. You could easly be running 500hp from the crank for like 5 grand and never touch the internals

thanx for the info...but my delorean is a 1982. i dont think the body would hold together with 500 whp the chasis would probaly twist...lol but for a classic car its fast enough... really for 2800 lbs car u dont need 500hp but it would be nice... :)

If your going thru all that trouble i would seriously consider a non turbo 3.0 DOHC. They come with all forged internals and parts are everywhere and with about 1500-2000 bucks you can get them in the mid 300hp and no turbo lag. You could seriously pick one of those motors up for 1 grand or less with 50k miles or less and with a total cost of 2500-3000 bucks have mid 300hp with no turbo lag and they r strong dependable motors.

Because the engine is in the rear, as long as you stay on the gas the car handles beautifully in a curve or turn.. Its alot of fun. I have turned up the boost since this vid so we are now pushing 250 whp and close to 300 lbs of torque.
