  • I've never thought about lifting this way and it made me really stop and think. You have a brilliant mind and outlook. :)

  • Hi Vik,

If you overtrain a muscle for example Bicep and if u train it every day or every other day

will the muscle get smaller and weaker?

  • @victorlambov1

It's hard to say if it will get weaker but one needs time to rest and heal. Vic

  • Hey Vic. Love your videos. I am 44 and never worked out before, and I am making great gains with your techniques. This, after listening to the guys at the gym say "you'll never get bigger without lifting more weight".. and subsequently tore a shoulder muscle. I slowed down, paid attention to form, and now am looking great for a old fart! (grin) With your workouts.. I am geting bigger and doing it safely. Thanks. You always have great advise.

  • theres some wisdom in this. i always hear people say they go to the gym to work off some stress. Usually, they dont come back. I go to the gym when im stressed, tired, angry, happy, sad, bored, etc. Lifting is more effective as a hobby. I lift because I enjoy it. not for an escape.

  • pure bodybuilding wisdom

  • i just watched your proper back workouts and its so crazy the small details. i dont think i've watched anyone on youtube explain proper form and technique as good as you. great videos and advice. a free and very helpful personal trainer you are...

  • Awesome Video Vic!

Is it good if u train your bicep every day?If is not good what can happend?

  • @dudeiwantaname1

You should be training biceps only oncer per week.

You are probably experiencing what happens when you train them daily. Overtraining does not foster development. Peace, Vic

  • u r one of my favourite trainers! very articulate.

  • Can you make videos for teens :)

  • @xxTONEMOxx

If you are going to train the principles would be the same - Vic

  • Great Vid!

  • great channel and great body

  • Good tips man. Im subscribing.

  • Been training since 2006, but I have just heard some great advice from this video, stuff I never considered before or heard. I only came across this channel today and have subcribed. Look forward to watching more, thanks.

  • @MrBigstef

    Thanks friend. Vic

  • Really like your videos. Have found them to be VERY helpful. Best instruction I have ever recieved.

  • Hi Vic, big fan of ur methods. My problem is genetically extremely thin veins, even have trouble drawing blood, nurses joke about it :( Training for years and have tried most methods(light/heavy/supersets) including NO products in an attempt to rectify it but to no avail. My bf % is about 9% and my veins are hardly visible and are really puny. Depressing to see others way less lean but with nice thick visible veins whereas mine is like fine hair. Demoralised. Any other way u can suggest? Thanks

  • @TheMilodino

Best physique on any man ever was my dad. He had very thin veins under large muscles. It gave a hint that under his beautiful facade was a body that had the same parts as the rest of us. If you've been to Rome and took notice of the architecture, the sculptures have little vascularity. The statue of David in Florence,a masterpiece by Michelangelo in the early 1500's has few visible veins in his hands and feet only. Demoralized? Are you kidding? Embrace this now!!! Vic

  • Another great words of wisdom from Vic. Still me fav trainer.

  • Awsome videos Vic. Thanks so much for your time and effort making them. You're helping lots of folks with some rich information.

  • @TheDoobad1 Going to provide lots of info in 2012. Happy New Year. Vic

  • Great vid!

  • i like your approach to lifting..nice slow and relax and that engages the body part the best not heavy fast with momentum..

  • I really appreciate the beliefs you shared chief! Thanks for sharing!

  • a good advice for having a good mind-set! thx, Vic

  • 5:29 of my life well spent, amazing advice

  • Hi vic where've you been?we miss you buddy.

Wish you happy a new year to you and your familly.

  • @kabylis

Hi friend- All the best for a Happy New Year.

    Victor

  • @vicsnatural Victor, your videos are amazing, wonderful knowledge. I personally would appreciate it if you made a video discussing diets, how many meals a day, what food is best for recovery and well just general diet tips - its a bit of a struggle for me.

Also do you do much cardio??

  • @empirix I will make some really good nutrition videos in 2012. I walk about 4 to 5 miles per day- I do suggest at least 30 minutes of cardio 3 to 4 times per week. Vic

  • @kabylis

Have a wonderful New Year, Health and Happiness

    Vic

  • You speak the truth! And have earned yourself a subscriber. I did the shoulder work out yesterday. and boy am I feeling it today! More pain more gain right!? Keep up the good work.

  • Great video and channel, Vic. I saw your videos yesterday, and today I tryed your techniques. Not only in the first day, but in the first exercise, I have already noticed a huge diference, like I was really felling my muscles working. The execution was not perfect, since it was my first attempt, but I felt the difference compared to the way I used to train. Congratulations for your videos, you explain the execises very well and you are a true inspiration for me, from now on. Thanks and peace!

  • Best bodybuilding site on youtube, some of the best advice Ive ever heard, bodybuilding like you said is such an individual thing. just look at Arnold and Frank Zane.. If Zane said I cant beat a guy with his mass, he would have quit.. He didnt and worked with his own assets, perfect symetry... Keep up the great advice Vic,, your the reall deal , thanks Bill

  • Really good video. Puts meaning and integrity to the gym and our own journeys on the road of fitness and good health

  • Vic, were you bullied at school??

  • @jimmyjohnson26

I wasn't bullied from peers but usually older kids. There were a few who did a good job of it. Was made fun of a bit because my clothes were kind of lame. I tell you- the shit kids go through. For what? But I will tell you- when I wasn't being bullied by someone else, I bullied myself quite a bit. The worst assailant is the one within. Be peaceful with yourself- be patient with yourself. This is one of the few things I have learned through the years. Peace, Vic

  • @vicsnatural word. the only person that really knows you, is you. only you can really judge yourself, and only you are your biggest adversary.

  • @DualThunder

    So true.

  • Your conditioning is unreal and mass unbelievable. You've kept me away from gear and portrayed training in an inspiring manor. Not that it detracts from your physique if not, but if that is natural then it is truly inspirational and a ridiculous achievement. thanks for info.

  • @BrunchOnYourLap

I would like you to go to my Facebook page- I explain why professing to be natural is not for my benefit but for everyone else. It does me no good to do so. I could just call my self a trainer. Why bother putting the "natural" qualifier? Because I want people to know that they don't have to take anything to make terrific gains. I really think some people want to think I am on steroids because it makes it easier for them to get their head around their own physiques.

  • nice biceps...

  • Great vid:)

  • Great bicep genetics, not so good triceps, you have your biceps larger than your triceps

I have a friend like you,his overtraining his bi's to not look so retarded :)) he is doing bicep ex every day to make them smaller

  • great piece of advice about doing it for oneself! Greetings from Germany

  • Another great video Vic, thanks for the tips.

  • your approach is so Zen. :) I like it.

  • I have some mind blowing stuff I will start sharing on Facebook for the philosophers and metaphysicians inside of all of us. vicsnatural victor costa trainer on facebook

    Peace all.

  • @vicsnatural hi would be great to see your arms up close so can see how to get the shape of your arms.to see what to aim for..thanks

  • I envy your biceps dude, my chest trains great, my biceps though hardly at all. It kinda sucks.

  • Vic, I would love to know your opinion on deadlifts...

Do you do them? Are they necassary? Are they dangerous regardless of form? Can other, safer exercises be used for the lower back like the straight leg deadlift?

Would really appreciate a reply :)

  • good advice !

  • nice cloths... :P

  • @vicsnatural okay theres alot of people that will benefit from ur tips including me. U should think about making a facebook too.

  • @zinbx

    Visit vicsnatural trainer on Facebook

  • you have the attitude of a champion and seem like a very nice guy. lucky people who have you in their life

  • I agree 100 percent with you on this Vic. I watched a psychologist do a demonstration where he had a guy stand in place and hold his arms out parallel to his sides. He told him to think of the worst memory possible. Then he pushed his arms down with no problem. He then told him to think of the best memory he had and he struggled to push his arms down. Staying in a positive frame of mind will always make you stronger. I hate when people get pissed right before a lift. They weakening themselves.

  • @HomeGymFitness

Ah the old muscle test. I am so glad we opened the door to metaphysics. 8 years ago, I wanted to learn about metaphysics. There is too much to discuss, but I will share what I know as it comes up. I have read and written thousands of pages and have a lot to share.

  • Nice vid great advice, do u have twitter?

  • @zinbx

No but will set up today. Thanks for suggestion.

  • @vicsnatural nope, still can't find you on twitter...

  • your the best vic

  • Arnold had an idea of this, because he knew how important a positive mental connection with the muscle was. He said you had to become the muscle. That is nothing but directed attention and creative visualization, whose effects are possible because we're made of energy. Einstein knew it too, on his deathbed he asked if he was to truly believe that the moon wasn't there when his back was turned. Because our perception slows energy down to create our solid realities, but we create them!

  • Thank you for speaking on the energetic nature of the body. Were nothing but a vibrating energy field. The solidarity of cells and of the body is an illusion. The energy is vibrating so fast that it creates the illusion of solidarity, much like an electric fan looks like a dinner plate when moving fast enough. So our thoughts, which are energy bodies, have powerful effects on the body as a whole. There is no separation.

  • Vic is the REAL deal.

  • @vicsnatural u are awesome man.

  • Do you prefer full body workouts or split?

  • @desamania I like split- it allows me to concentrate. As far as full body workouts, I like my band workout. However, the confusion with full body is - when do you train next- and is it enough rest between. If you do my band workout, better yet, if I do my band workout- it kills me. When do I train next? I would probably have to rest at least 4 days to recover. Now if you are only training twice per week. it is really solid idea. But a real challenge with weights. Better with bands in my opinion

  • fantastic as ever Vic. Thank you.

  • Great video Vic thanks! Any chance you can talk about your thoughts on food, supplements, nutrition? Thanks bro!

  • I have hard times to get the feel in my arms. chest- no problems.

  • :-) great video...i dunno Vic....when ur angry ur strong as hell, its all about controlling urself, making ur emotions work for you...

  • @NaturalMuscularity

Take a look at Stress Hormones on Wikipedia. Anger releases stress hormones. If you train angry, you are probably secreting a lot of stress hormone. For certain, it has to be antithetical to a normal recovery process.

You can go to my Facebook page and see some more info.

  • Vic, the thing you are saying about the negative energy not being productive in a training routine .. I am also doing workout sessions to release myself from negative energy, letting off steam. And it works great i must say. At least for my mental health. I can't say if there were better results when putting in positive thoughts into training ...

  • @fr618

You should read about kinesiology and it's relationship to your state of mind/thoughts. You would be astounded at the research. Dr. David Hawkins, not to be confused with Stephen Hawking, is a physician who has conducted experiments that explain the relationship. Additionally, Chopra proposes a concept called"non local communication", in which your cells react to your thoughts even when they are in a petrie dish. Yes, this is the stuff I read. It is utterly astounding. I will share more

  • Watching your videos always a pleasent thing that Scott Herman or other Trainer on Youtube cannot do! GBU Vic :)
