This was one of the GREATEST wrestling matches I've ever seen. I've seen MANY great ones, too.

I remember when Ric Flair won The World Heavyweight Title, for the FIRST time.

I saw the famous match between Hulk Hogan & The Ultimate Warrior.

But, THIS one was great because there was NO  "interference" NO "gimmicks" and NO "dirty stuff."

Just 2 Superstars "going at it."

BOOKER T succeeded in the WWE, SCOTT STEINER had a strong run in the early 2000's....BENOIT, JERICHO, EDDIE/CHAVO, MYSTERIO, GIANT/BIG SHOW....I don't think WWE abused WCW talent on purpose, it was just very unlikely that WWF/E fans would have accepted a WCW CREATED character such as DDP with open arms...This is why GOLDBERG waited a few years before making the jump & probably why STING never jumped...I have to admit, I never understood why BILLY KIDMAN didn't succeed in WWF

Great cruisers, excellent mid-carders, A+ main eventers (Nash/Hogan, Sting, Goldberd, DDP, Giant, Macho), Nitro Girls and they still mainted a kid friendly atmosphere, the best commentary I've ever heard (Heenan, Schiavone, Tenay, Larry Z), good storylines, mostly good PPV's (some exceptions)

ECW was great at this time, WWF was great at this time, WCW was great at this time, any true fan would have loved it all...

ECW's new rising and being extreme, and then WWE's attitude era couldn't have been any better. This was wrestling at it's peak!! I heared many people talking down on this ppv, but I think this was one of WCW's best PPV's of all time.

Also, one of Goldberg's best matches. If WCW had been smarter, this is where Goldberg would have lost the belt. There would have been no shame in losing to Page, and no one would have thought less of him. It wouldn't have killed his momentum like Starrcade did.
