  • @ mercedescars454, well you could use this coin for money since it is legal tender but it would be a waste of over a hundred dollars. see its says on the coin 10$ but the gold in the coin alone is probably worth 100-150$. hope this helped....

  • @jacobsanchez24 thanks

  • Still going up ;)

Love the liberty ones. 3 best coins in the series of course. I have 2 of each proofs, one graded 70 one 69

  • whats a proof????????????

  • Mint State or "business strike" coins used in circulation are struck once, on plain blanks that may or may not have been burnished with ballbearings to etch them ready for striking

Proof coins are struck 2 or even 3 times with more pressure. Proof coins are struck with dies that have a polished background and frosted raised areas. This gives a stronger design and cameo effect, the background becomes a mirror while the design is much more strongly visible..

    cont..

  • Proof coins are also scrutinized more for errors, dies changed more often (less coins made from the same dies), and packed in special proof presentation sets.. and sold at a higher price of course !

  • Proof coins are also struck on specially prepared and polished blanks that will allow the mirror finish ! sorry knew I was missing something :)

  • proofs are coins that are struck several times to get that shiny mirror like finish.

momst coins are only struck once but proofs are struck 4-10 times

  • i want one please send haha

  • what's it worth?

  • a half ounce of gold is worth about $400, but because this coin is collectable it could've cost anywhere up to $800.
