@TheTopBloke Most candidates I've looked into are an absolute disgrace. Gingrich has accepted serveral million dollars worth of bribes both from corporations and lobbies over his political career. Dennis Kucunich (no longer running) and Ron Paul (politely slamming heads) are great leaders in the whole corrupt filth bucket that is American politics. the only
Notice how they didn't even mention Ron Paul destroying santorum on foreign policy. That was the highlight of the debate. Idiot Bachmann vs loser Pawlenty was just a stupid sissy fight.
When your whole campaign team mutinies against you and openly criticizes you for your lack of commitment, it is an absolutely legitimate question, sorry Newt. Good job by Wallace and the Fox News Team.
And one more thing, Wallace doesn't have to defend Fox against the unfounded, unhinged attacks over the years by the lamestream media & Americans dishonest enough to try to say that Fox is unfair & they aren't. Any human being being who's watched & read the lamestream media for any length of time who doesn't see the extreme, evil bias of the media against conservatism, Republicans, Israel, the TEA Party, etc. & the cheer-leading they do for Liberalism, Democrats, & Islam isn't worth convincing.
Newt Gingrich ripped Wallace & the press corp a new one in the best thing I've ever seen in my 49 years. The question about Newt's campaign minutia was unimportant compared to the great ideas Newt offers. It was an unnecessary, gotcha question immaterial since Newt was standing there, in the race, not having quit. Wallace could have asked an opposite question if he was truly interested in Newt's campaign; does you still running after the resignation of some of your staff show your greatness?
Fox & Friends, Wallace and other morons aren't seeing this right. IT'S NOT ABOUT ASKING A TOUGH QUESTION, IT'S ABOUT ASKING AN IRRELEVANT QUESTION. We want to her ideas and plans for Washington, not b.s. irrelevant broke campaign questions.
Chris Wallace is becoming a media sniper who's having to back track every time he over-reaches when questioning conservatives. First his really unprofessional insinuation about Michelle Bachmann and now, trying to double down on his debate question to Newt Gingrich. Right, left, fair or unbalanced, this is "gotcha journalism" - there is no other name for it.
@coltor9 Personaly-I'm waiting for the Hollywood elites to come to the rescue. All that cash coupled with PC ambitions could save the world. They just need a windfall profits tax attached to thier income to make them see the light.
@coltor9 If every single person in this nation were taxed at a rate of 100% of their income it would hardly make a dent in America's debt. You do realize that, don't you?
@rickhall832 Who cares! They need to start paying! It's the principle that they have robbed the TREASURY with their lies of trickle down when not one job was produced in over 11 years by these mother F's
Wallace did a bad job of responding to Gingrich, so I guess Gingrich succeeded in both getting his goat and deflecting the question. Wallace should have pointed out that it's a legit question to ask why anybody should believe he can run the executive branch of the United States government when he can't even manage his own campaign staff, or keep them from quitting en masse because they think he's irresponsible and not serious.
I think Newt rocked the house last night. I really loved his rational attack on the federal reserve to break the secrecy. I didn't care about Clinton's blowjob & I don't care about Newt's affair. Newt is right about cutting the BS questions and get to the issues.
Here's another check you can cash: Gingrich would mop the floor against Owebama in any debate.
Party down this weekend bitches!! WOOHOO it's the weekend!!!!!
@coltor9 Obama had better hope he gets to run against the class clown in 2012.The 2010 elections were a huge blow to his ambitions. If the tide continues he will have to sneak back to Chicago for hugs and kisses come December 012
I think many of the questions asked of Sarah Palin in 2008 were "gotcha questions" in that they attempt to question one's intelligence instead of seeking out real answers to questions people want to know about. Here, these were relevant questions and Newt was clearly feigning outrage in an attempt to score political points and deflect valid criticism from his campaign that's been in free fall since the start.
I don't think Sarah Palin was asked any gotcha questions. Asking you what newspapers you read only becomes a gotcha question if you haven't read any. To anybody else it's a chance to showcase your ideological preferences. Asking you what Supreme Court decisions you disagree with is only a gotcha if you can't name a single one, not even Dred Scott or Roe v Wade. To anybody else it's an opportunity to spout talking points and make yourself look intelligent.
@TrollBuster9090 I agree regarding the magazines, but I disagree regarding the supreme court decision question. I went to law school and I can think of a few by name which I'm strongly against. Palin actually mentioned Roe v. Wade and the question was "what other supreme court decisions do you disagree with?" I would have said Kelo v. City of New London, but Palin's not a lawyer. Obama, a con law professor was never asked that. Palin's not smart, but some of those questions weren't fair.
There's NO SUCH THING as a 'gotcha' question. Only an inarticulate moron who can't defend his positions and/or himself in a clear manner and not sound like an idiot says, "That's a gotcha question."
I have no love for Newt and Wallace was a jackass for asking Newt about his INTERNAL campaign drama and referring to it later as his record. Never forget that although he may be on FOX now, Chris Wallace used to work for ABC News.
