I had one of those AIBOS - a 210. It was freaking amazing...about the closest a robot can come to a real dog. It responded to verbal commands, wandered off and played by itself, kicked a ball around, learned its name, and was great company. A real pet in its own right. Wish to hell I still had it. Sony really should make more of these...

I had a 210 version, and it cost $1500. Seems like a lot of money, but believe me, worth every penny. I used to take it to work with me, everyone loved it. It wandered around, played, greeted people (waved at them and stuff). Damn I miss it...

Yes. Sony no longer sells them. But you can still buy them elsewhere, like from Nippon Deals. Just make sure the seller is reputable. Trouble is, when Sony was selling them, they had a warranty. Other sellers don't have that option.
