@yoimnice mic was under $200, tascam us1641f interface was about $400, and the sm57 was like $100 i think. so u can get the setup for under $800.

bro i want to ask a technical question. Is this a sound from camera or your recording track ? If first one than how do you hook things up. Your guitar is not connected to the amp is it? What about mic, are the monitors turned on?

@strannik sound is coming from the microphone. i recorded the audio separate and just loaded it using windows movie maker. guitar is not connected, only picking up sound from the vocal mic. i did adjust the audio for clarity, etc.

no its a Audio Technica 3035, wich is a XLR mic wich needs pre-amp and phantom power. ;)

wow, we have and amazing similar voice! haha... my constructive opinion. You need to change and play more with your voice round the song... it's not plain but it's not so emotionant. And be careful with your time(3:30). I hope be for help :p

why we hear noise distortion when you sing high and loud? is it a too high volume of the preamp of a mic or its from the recording track you raised the volume?

HOW are you gettting enough output out of the sm57 for an acoustic, are you using a good pre-amp?

i'm not using a preamp for the 57, however the condenser pics up most of the sound, and the 57 completes it. and i'll usually raise the volume on the 57's recorded track.

just about any budge interface has enough gain for a sm57 :/ i use the cheapest one available (m audio mobile pre) and i only have to turn my preamp about half way to get ideal gain .. maybe sometimes a little louder for really quiet parts or when i need to record something from a distance. but any interface these days should have more than enough gain :/
