yeah man, i agree with you that this is one of aces best solos. i think its the vibrato with the high pentatonic scales, and the heavy rhythm riff in the background. its same with Goin' Blind and many other early tracks

Nice job. I saw KISS open for the New York Dolls in October of 1974 in Toronto. And, I have to agree with you about the early albums and performances. Hungry is a good description. KISS were the best during the first three studio albums and Alive 1.

Good job! We brought a smoking hot, plays every thing perfect, technically great guitar player in our band and he sucked the life out of everything we played! He was a good dude though, I took some music theory classes from him a couple years later. For my taste give me a player with feel and presence anyday. And also one of my favorite Ace solo and riffs. Simple and effective.

Yeah, Used to hate em for that.... allways had to either detune or play inbetween the dots : (( allways thought they done that on purpose to stop us from learning their stuff - but i think Ace says its easier for them to sing in a flat

No it is tuned down 1/2 step to e flat not sure of the number....420??? Anyway it is tuned just like most of the old KISS stuff.

I don't claim to be a perfectionist, never have. I am (was) more of a showman, fun to watch kind of guitarist and my last band was also fun to watch but not the best players in the world. After I quit they had several guitarist after me and most of them tech better. I guess my playing and presence...not my ability won the people over. Tech playing is not the be all end all of being a guitarist! JMO

Yea it's my 2002 Ibanez DT420 Destroyer re-issue guitar. I love the guitar personally and I've usually always owned a destroyer of some kind. I've owned in my life a DT155, DT350, DT555 (which I sold recently on ebay), and now I have this DT420. Every one of these guitars were awsome. My all time favorite was my DT555 of course =) Anyway, TAKE THE DESTROYER if you are just going to get it for nothing!!

Have fun! The only time I ever got to see KISS with all original members was the reunion tours. I had a chance to see them on the Dynasty tour but MOM said ONLY if my big sister is willing to take me....and she WOULDN'T!!! I have never forgiven her!!! lol First time I seen KISS was the Lick it up tour....then every other time they came here. The last I've seen was the - farewell - tour uhm hum. I gave up hope after Pete and Ace left again. But I still love KISS. Again, HAVE FUN!!!!
