  • quaaaality check

  • fuuuuuuuuuuuuck did he forget the lyrics and mumble at 2:22 haha XD

must've been either super messed up or excited... probably both

  • "thumbs up" for dan boeckner is sexy!!

  • Thank these guys for keeping the Canadian punk rock legacy alive!.

  • anybody else see the microKORG? Beautiful piece of machinery that synth. also this band.

  • @popatire23 yes, i noticed that too

  • @popatire23 i just linked this to a friend of mine. we are very much influenced by wolf parade. in addition, we bought an alesis micron for the same reason!

  • Fuck! They are very good live.

  • This is what punk sounded like in the 1970s. I remember...

  • @WolfParadeMusic wow ur a retard

  • i can't fucking stand craig ferguson.

  • @lmcfalcon12 I know same

  • disappointed in how they look

i expected a beard on the singer

  • @say12thebear Who cares what they look like? They sound amaaaaazing, that's what matters.

  • @claudiaisgood True true

    JUST SAYING

  • By far the best live Dan Boeckner song. Top 3 Wolf Parade song overall. It's that awesome.

When I'm feeling good and fired up, This Heart's On Fire is the song I wanna listen to.

  • i think his heart really was on fire

  • dsds

  • Does anybody know the name of the song at the end of the show?

  • sounds like my Sharona

  • sounds like casey and his brother!

  • @dbenoit64 mum mum

  • Dan Boeckner is a large part of what makes Wolf Parade great. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Spencer Krug's songs as well, but his distinctive voice is more of an acquired taste.

  • are you sure you don't have the two mixed up??... for me krug's lyrics are much more exciting and unpredictable... boeckner sounds good, but doesn't stand out to me much more than any other random indie singer.... probably why i like sunset rubdown more than wolf parade

  • this guys has alot of great bands

  • Lead singer needs to eat a Sandwich. lol

  • mah,too much energy and, like, vitality. what happened to all the miserable defeatists?

  • dude, don't promote your own band like that, you posted that on another wolf parade video too.

  • Comment removed

  • He's not. Wolf Parade actually did say that in an interview, and Tin Tin Can actually IS pretty good stuff.

  • haha they didnt get like any of spencer in that

  • that's because he doesn't do much besides play in this song. It's a Dan song, to be sure.

  • "Sometimes we just stay at home and that 's just fine".. I want that urgency.. they need to turn them up!!! I can't even commment on the video. Wolf parade figured me out. They have that blend of scaring people away, and making you still f**king want to listen.. they are too good. This sh*t will straighten you out if your feeling bent...Love it.

  • Okay. That man who introduced Wolf Parade, yeah, I'm going to kick him. He made Wolf Parade sound like...hmmm.. Hannah Montana? They're not a band for 'kids', they're a band for 'everyone', and as for 'ALL the kids', or whatever, NO ONE I know has heard about them. Which is a good thing. They're too great and original for EVERYONE to know, well I think so.

  • thats the joke

  • Sweet! They're good live!

  • "they were going to be on last night, but we had to bump them since we talked to the them."

does that mean there's an interview?

if there is, I WANT TO SEE IT.

  • he says "we talked too LONG", not "THEM". As for there being an interview or not, i dont think so. its the same as snl, they dont actually interview the band, they just play.

  • 5 men?

  • I don't think Spencer wanted to blow everyone's mind too much with his duel keyboard skills

  • i think he meant the bassist

  • lol

  • XD i love that man.

  • It's dante decarro. He joined the band ages ago. Didnt really know until recently. hmm.

  • I prefer Fancy Claps and Grounds For Divorce but still. The whole album is awesome.

  • After reading what this song's about, I can see why Dan puts his heart, pardon my pun, into it so much.

  • Whats it about?

  • Well according to the testimony of a WP concert-goer, he wrote it to his girlfriend (now wife) for being so supportive when his mom died.

  • A really great band. I would LOVE to see them perform. Their energy is amazing.

  • i saw them a couple weeks ago it was amazing

  • These guys are great, but this heart's on fire is far from their best work, especially from Apologies.

  • u kidding, this heart's is a great song

its not their best yeah from apologies to the queen mary but still one of their most significant songs

  • whats the third band.. its these guys, sunset rubdown and....?

  • handsome furs?

  • Spencer Krug is in Sunset Rubdown and Swan Lake; Dan Boeckner is in Handsome Furs.

  • Spencer Krug is also in Frog Eyes. Man, they wreck.

  • and Sunset Rubdown =)

  • I would do almost anything to see these guys live. I hate how they never came to Florida.

  • amazing

  • they are just one of my favourite live bands.

  • 0000000000000000000

0000000000000000000 if you are a fan

000 wolf parade 000 of wolf parade

    0000000000000000000 copy and paste

    0000000000000000000

  • Shine A Light is much more catchy than this, in my opinion. Better as well. Ah well, at least they didn't play Dinner Bells :)

  • hadji bakara is the coolest person alive.

  • The band the kids are going crazy for? I'm not familiar with this guy (so i don't know if he's being sarcastic) but, what?

  • they're fairly known. in canada they are god. i love their music. listen to their first album see if you like them at all. may take a little while to digest it. he wasn't being sarcastic. we love them in the states.

  • I was talking about the host of the show. I'm actually a huge wolf parade fan, basically from the start. I've never met anyone else who likes them (That I haven't shown). I guess "Known" is being taken as a perspective (obviously). Or maybe everyone hates them in Illinois. Hmmm.

  • Dan makes me really angry in this video...dont know why

  • Man, my sister showed me a song of theirs(soldiers's grin) about two hours ago, never heard of the band before today, and now I love them. They remind me of Modest Mouse a little bit. Both bands are great though

  • I agree, but I think Wolf Parades lyrics and keyboards are stronger but i like the guitar and bass in modest mouse.both great bands though.

  • to be honest i think these guys are talented but modest mouse are completely different and better

  • i hope you guys know that they played on the late late show before mount zoomer was released.....

  • Whoa, I didn't realize Wolf Parade had made the Late Late Show. Impressive. I do wish they had played a different song... It really isn't one of their best songs, as amazing as it is.

  • mfire, I agree with you whole-heartedly. Fine Young Cannibals is my favorite and I would have loved to see them perform it.

    Absolutely great band :-)

  • That would have been good, but this was two years ago, man. At Mount Zoomer (including Fine Young Cannibals) was not released yet. Hopefully they get on a talk show with the release of Mount Zoomer aswell.

In terms of song selection it makes sense. They are on TV so they want to reach as many people as possible with one song. "Hearts On Fire" is probably the most easily understood, energetic, and catchiest song they've got.

  • CYE: Thanks for the info. I just discovered this band and haven't had time to really find out anything about them. I do know, tho' that I love their sound... :-)

  • The singer here, Dan Boeckner, is probably the best-looking man I've ever seen and I'm a straight guy. But, man..

  • hahahaha

  • @r00zter wow ur a fag

  • @r00zter lol are u sure ur straight

  • @r00zter Dude, Dan is straight up homely. If you were gay, you would have questionable taste in dudes.

  • @r00zter hah, that's the first step of stepping out of the closet pal ;)

  • @r00zter Uhhh... what? Look at dem teef.

  • @r00zter Yeah. His dad was my English teacher. I'm not surprised at his taste and creative genius. And Yeah...he looks a lot like his dad did then. Intriguing and sexy.

  • @r00zter Youtube "marlon brando screen test" it's a black and white clip. Pretty frustrating how good looking that guy was.

  • You're right that the song is simple, but therein lies the beauty of it.

  • Wolf Parade gave a new meaning to my life.

  • most definitely agreed

  • this is a good song but not one of the best

they should have played "Dear Sons", "I'll Believe" or "Shine a Light"

it also sounds like they rushed it

  • i was just thinking the same thing; they chose this one because the lyrics were more tv friendly. hearing them perform "dear sons" live in concert was an amazing experience.

  • i like this song, but it´s too simple, it could be from other ten bands. Dear sons ... is impressive

  • this song is so good, its the only song they shoulda played and no other bands could of done it or came up with it, FUCK THE MODERN WORLD, AND U MODERN PEOPLE FUCK U AND FUCK UR DOGS

  • jajajajaja. i was thinking in dear sons and daugthers....8... but....there´s no success like failure

  • How the hell they go to late show and play one of the worst songs in the album?!¿!?!¿!?

  • It's a cool song.

  • its a good fucking song

  • it is!

  • how can you rate ANY of the songs worst?

  • this is lke the best song on the album u stupd fucking cunt

  • killer song

  • Dan just can't seem to get his hair out of his face.

  • hehe, they all look strangely well groomed.

  • The band that all the kids are going nuts for?

Theyre Popular, but that aint true......

  • Or if you have the album... O.o

  • That was on their debut..

  • I love this band to death, and their side projects are good but i just love them together way more, just stick with wolf parade

  • oh,i don't know. i'm not crazy about this song, but i like both singers - kind of a strummer/jones thing, minus the cocaine. though, dan has better songs than this one, and spencer sings the better songs in general. if you want more spencer, listen to sunset rubdown or something.

  • I second you on the Strummer/Jones comparison.

  • wolf parade without spencer is almost like being naked in public

  • their live shows are second to none. saw them in Providence.

  • Spencer didn't get to sing haha

    good gig though

    wish the guitar was louder...

  • when was this

  • i want to say two years ago or so, i saw it when the aired it and it was AMAZING
