The 4 character in the first and second maps are called Tank Dempsey , John banana ,Peter ,Jason listen on the first map trailer it says "Watch out Jason" and "Dempsey keep shooting" and Peter because he is in it from the start to shi no numa and John banana was in the files from black ops and says he was stuck in verruckt in a room with a bullet-less browning and a bandana.

@sithbuster19 Treyarch did conferm that Dempsey was a part of the raid on Verruckt for the nazi zombie storyline, however he was not one of the playable characters. Dempsey, Nikolai, Takeo, and Richtofen don't offically show up until Shi No Numa.

Mewcornia in verruct you play as a group of marines, this is before shi no numa and der riese. In black ops it's revealed that dempsy was the leader of the marines there and was the only survivor who then for some reason went to shi no.
